I don't know much about XBLA.. never been there. I heard Trigger Heart Exelica isn't that hard, but the problem is it isn't really a great game to begin with. Omega V also received critical reviews, not sure if it's hard or not. You can try Ikaruga also, one of the most recognized shooting game ever, but then it's hard if you play it as a shooting game, easy if you are good at puzzle games. I still prefer those games available on hard copies though, with Deathsmiles being the #1 recommendation.

unfortunately there is no discount on PA for the hardcopies..all are Jap version and all so expensive..that's why i am thinking of getting the simpler ones from XBLA, something that can be completed in few hours.

Get the Platinum Collection version of Deathsmiles, it contains the MBL which have to be DL if using the black label, 1400 points worth. I first heard of Ray Storm for PS1, which I never played until much later. I did however play a lot of Layer Section on PC (later the Saturn original). Of these 2 games, I also much prefer Layer Section (not calling it Ray Force!). Too bad Taito is not that active in arcade development anymore. I want another Psychic Force!

I probably will get one Manic Shooting game to try out. I was never good at those games. Remember the original 1942 fighter shooting games? Yeah, even that I can't complete :S. Maximo is not really my type of game, and I will finish my long overdue Shenmue and Yakuza 3 first for now.

But which one you plan to get? I would suggest something more fast paced but simpler scoring/rank system. ESPGaluda is a good start

Now that Radiant Silvergun will be ported to XBLA, I can play it properly without having to power up the Saturn. But you're not much of a Treasure fan, are you Gundam?

Some of their games I absolutely love, like Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes, but others are quite insignificant to me, like Ikaruga, RSG etc despite their popularity.

QUOTE(alex13 @ Oct 7 2010, 10:25 AM) Just watch the Stage 1 in youtube and I already That's is one of the less difficult Cave games on PS2 (excluding the final boss fight) Don't let the stuff around affect your perception on this game, try compare with Dodonpachi DOJ which has less things going around but so much deeper in scoring/surviving and more difficult.

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Aug 18 2010, 08:39 PM) Plays more like GB's first DBZ game, don't know how to describe the game type. Don't have Shin Butoden, always take this game out from cart when checking out. Usually I see this game at around $10~$25 Hello fellow retro gamers. Long time no visit here. BTW, I bought Shin Butoden a month back, but after 2-3 tries, it's not working for me. Check out my posting in games garage sale if you are interested.... P.S. Thanks for the tip on ESPgaluda....
