hi guys, am totally new to android and have a (tiny) problem

my vibration for sms is suddenly not working, i did not notice when exactly but i think it was after i installed "beautiful widgets"(which i still dont know how to use). could it be conflicting with the settings or something?

also, how do i uninstall .apk?

Hmm...althought this is not serious problem, but just wanna clarify..
When im talking to a X10 user, the sound seems to be very soft..
But the other party who using X10 can hear very clear & loud...
Did you guys experience this ?

And for the GPS ar, i still couldnt locate any good software with the navigation stuff.. anyone mind to intro some ? ^^

Added on October 19, 2010, 10:00 pmand ar and ar...why u guys have so many nice wallpaper de ar ?
Even the picture that i took from the X10 itself, couldnt fix perfectly nice in the screen.. need to crop... = ='......

if im correct, the microphone is at the left, about one third from the bottom, so if your fingers cover it then the voice might not be loud enough.
thats wat i found out =/

Guys, a lil problem here.

When i sms a contact 6017+++++++ the sms does not deliver plus when i call the operator says "nombor tidak lengkap"

after a few trials i decided to change the saved number to 017+++++++ (removed the 6) and sent an sms, it delivers n the contact receives the sms.

however, when the contact replies, instead of appearing in the same thread, it appears in another thread, under the number 6017+++++++ (with no contact name) to which when i reply the contact does not receive the sms. I have to reply in the thread before with the number 017+++++++

so, i have 2 threads for replying and receiving smses from this and only this contact. any idea wats wrong? =(

i use SmsPopup, but i already disabled it. It happens for this contact only. Somehow when she replies, her number appears as 6017+++++++, under a different sms thread, i cannot reply her sms or call that number. other contacts (so far) are fine, they reply with either +6012 etc or without the +6 altogether

other numbers ok?

or that number only?

so far, only that number. i did not sms every number in my contact to try, but in my inbox got about 10 threads, all numbers reply with either +6012 or just 012 only

I have same problem with my X8, it seem that the phone can't recognize between +60121234567 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              +60121234567      end_of_the_skype_highlighting and 0121234567.
and I notice that when people call in the Caller ID show that 0121234567 and received SMS will show +60121234567.

I try to search around the web and can't find any solution. therefore I have save both number +60121234567 and 0121234567 under same name.

++ sent SMS with +60121234567 and call using 0121234567

Not sure whether this is the problem caz by Andriod 1.6.... hope that It will solved when the OS is upgraded.

To call out, we can either using the format +6 012-1234567 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              +6 012-1234567      end_of_the_skype_highlighting or 012-1234567, both number is the same, and normally the phone will recognize +6 012-1234567 == 012-1234567.

However in our case, the phone is recognize +6 012-1234567 and 012-1234567 as a difference number.
So we need to keyin both number under same contact name (let say ABC) to make the phone recognize

+6 012-1234567 = ABC = 012-1234567.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In my case, the caller ID for SMS is in the format of +60121234567
and the caller ID for incoming call is in the format of 0121234567

therefore I use format +60121234567 to sent out message
and use format 0121234567 to make call....

Hope you can understand...  biggrin.gif

okay i understand that now. but my problem is my contact reply with 6017, not +6017. i cannot reply or call to 6017
