Actually there's nothing really important to me that 2.1 can give that 1.6 can't. Most of the 'important stuff' has been backported like USB tethering, live wallpaper (with SE's AmbientTime Home), Bluetooth 2.1 compatibility, 32gb MicroSD compatibility, etc. Of course we want the extras in 2.1 and 2.1x like HD recording, 16m colours, 1gHz processor which is not underclocked anymore and so forth, but nothing that should deter you from getting 1.6 donut now. It's still awesome nevertheless, the most stable phone I've ever had, even against feature phones Anyway, some shots from X10 which to me has the best camera sensor in the current SE phones' lineup Evening pics Close up shots *X10*Unedited*Stock Software* This post has been edited by mode893: Oct 15 2010, 11:18 PM

@FallenOut Thanks mate QUOTE(maruteamatklang @ Oct 16 2010, 12:38 AM) Even if cant install application into SD card also, but how come i cant even utilize the SD card ? There is not even a file manager in this phone...zzz I downloaded Astro File Manager, and its not that user friendly thought... No Android phone has built in file manager so you need to find one that suits you. What do you mean by 'utilize'? Of course you can utilize your SD card (for saving media, files etc) or there might be something wrong with it, try swapping it with a working one. But if 'utilize' means installing apps on your SD, then you can't yet but it should come with the Eclair 2.1 update within the next few weeks

QUOTE(maruteamatklang @ Oct 17 2010, 01:47 PM) can the rockplayer play rmvb format ? Understand that the internal memory is 1GB, but when it freshly come, only left 400+ mb only... Is it because that the android system and the pre-installed application will take up to 500+mb ? The mediascape is not really user friendly...doesnt have equalizer thought...the sounds doesnt feel very good.. Added on October 17, 2010, 1:55 pmhmmm...and where do you guys usually download the application ? Is it only at the Market or any external website ? Try MixZing player, very advanced and has manual equalizer for your music. Set it to a curve, it'll sound spectacular

QUOTE(bjmin @ Oct 20 2010, 10:33 AM) Added on October 20, 2010, 10:38 amso far i check my bill on , didnt seems have increase on the billing.. as i sign on the 500MB data package under maxis. so far i cant even fully use 500MB data package.. i thought GPS is using the satellite to track our route? wondering how they charge us if GPS is not free... If you disable aGPS then there's no charge at all if you already have the maps ready in your phone. There's data charge only if you download the maps (like google maps) in real time or use aGPS which uses data to retrieve cell tower info to triangulate your position faster. There's no charge for sattellite navigation itself

Wow, very fluid. Probably due to a combination of software optimization from SE and processor utilization improvements of 2.1 android. I loike! Now roll them out already!

I've never used any protector for my X10 and now I have small hairline scratches from God knows where. Is there any polish service (like the one they give for scratched watches)? I would like to apply screen protector but with scratches underneath it'll be really weird so I'm holding off the thought until I can polish my screen. Doesn't seem possible though. Ideas anyone?

SE is really messing with our heads If you think X10 isn't capable of supporting multitouch due to hardware limitations, think again X10 IS multitouch capable!

Even though it does support multitouch SE won't apply it on Eclair 2.1, the link just shows the multitouch test which could be done if it has hardware support but without software support from SE it's as good as no support

@FallenOut Thanks for the reply, very nice link you gave me. Unfortunately even after signing up with google checkout I couldn't link it to google checkout as there was no other option during check out than to pay with credit card where I had to fill in the credit card details so I cheated and put in an existing Singapore address. It is marked in the Market as Purchased, but when I tap on the install button it's stuck at 'authorizing purchase' for the longest time (from 12am last night till now, wth?) Anyone encountered this issue? *edit* Finally the purchase went through. Thanks for helping me out with the purchase QUOTE(khalpowers @ Nov 12 2010, 09:52 PM) but the picture produced by this phone r superb!..so the choices is urs. .hehe..need gud camera phone. .x10 is the anwser.. It's confirmed, X10 will receive multitouch/pinch zoom support in Q1 2011. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=868sPlG3dCYTaken from SEblog :-D I'm both happy and pissed but since I own the phone, I'm gonna go with happy ;-)

QUOTE(jingle @ Nov 21 2010, 03:56 AM) Just received my phone this morning. Went to complex to find class 10 memory card, and it just wasted my an hour for nothing. If my application is not that lot, I guess App2sd I can ignore right? does it got any other benefits besides install application to memory card? Is it record HD video need at least class 4 memory card? I saw it from kingston website @@ One more thing, the camera just got no flash but photo light? Class 4 32gb microSD user reporting here. Flawless operation, on unrooted UK Generic Eclair. Even with my class 2 4gb microSD the cam seemed to handle HD recording ok. Yes, we have to settle for the crappy photolight due to lack of space in the slim body This post has been edited by mode893: Nov 21 2010, 01:59 PM
