Actually the 'home button' he referred to is the 'options button' which the one with 4 small squares. You should get it. Yes at unlock screen when you see the swipe unlock button.

Actually there's nothing really important to me that 2.1 can give that 1.6 can't. Most of the 'important stuff' has been backported like USB tethering, live wallpaper (with SE's AmbientTime Home), Bluetooth 2.1 compatibility, 32gb MicroSD compatibility, etc. Of course we want the extras in 2.1 and 2.1x like HD recording, 16m colours, 1gHz processor which is not underclocked anymore and so forth, but nothing that should deter you from getting 1.6 donut now. It's still awesome nevertheless, the most stable phone I've ever had, even against feature phones

No Android phone has built in file manager so you need to find one that suits you. What do you mean by 'utilize'? Of course you can utilize your SD card (for saving media, files etc) or there might be something wrong with it, try swapping it with a working one. But if 'utilize' means installing apps on your SD, then you can't yet but it should come with the Eclair 2.1 update within the next few weeks

Try MixZing player, very advanced and has manual equalizer for your music. Set it to a curve, it'll sound spectacular

If you disable aGPS then there's no charge at all if you already have the maps ready in your phone. There's data charge only if you download the maps (like google maps) in real time or use aGPS which uses data to retrieve cell tower info to triangulate your position faster. There's no charge for sattellite navigation itself

I'm one of the lucky early birds who managed to subscribe to the unlimited data plan. It's fast too. Can download ~700mb file in ~35 mins

I've never used any protector for my X10 and now I have small hairline scratches from God knows where. Is there any polish service (like the one they give for scratched watches)? I would like to apply screen protector but with scratches underneath it'll be really weird so I'm holding off the thought until I can polish my screen. Doesn't seem possible though. Ideas anyone?

SE is really messing with our heads If you think X10 isn't capable of supporting multitouch due to hardware limitations, think again X10 IS multitouch capable!

Even though it does support multitouch SE won't apply it on Eclair 2.1, the link just shows the multitouch test which could be done if it has hardware support but without software support from SE it's as good as no support

Going at RM2099 yesterday at SonyStyle. Bought me wife an X10 Mini Pro for RM1099

I'm itching to buy from market, rooted the phone, installed market access, voila! All set to buy, but when I check out at credit card info, Malaysia is not in the list and when I use Singapore it doesn't get accepted. I need to BUY! How can I get past this issue, am I missing something?

Thanks for the reply, very nice link you gave me. Unfortunately even after signing up with google checkout I couldn't link it to google checkout as there was no other option during check out than to pay with credit card where I had to fill in the credit card details so I cheated and put in an existing Singapore address. It is marked in the Market as Purchased, but when I tap on the install button it's stuck at 'authorizing purchase' for the longest time (from 12am last night till now, wth?) Anyone encountered this issue?

Anyone can as the hardware and software on this baby is tha shiznit! The only thing on our part is to wipe the lense everytime before shooting and keep a steady hand. Other than that I have no other secret

Class 4 32gb microSD user reporting here. Flawless operation, on unrooted UK Generic Eclair. Even with my class 2 4gb microSD the cam seemed to handle HD recording ok.
