how about i install 2unit 8cm case fan at the side of amp to suck all the heat out?

here my intention to place my setup... still prefer to put my receiver at Location 2 instead if possible...
any posibility that the vibration from subwooder will damage my LCD and receiver? any advise?

Normally the subwoofer is placed on top of a solid area, eg, the floor. It's abnormal to have it in/on the cabinet.

for anyone useing 520/820 and paird with 3 way speaker (with 16cm cone),
will you set the front speaker at "speaker settings" to large? bcos i felt a bass a bit heavy and no longer need subwoofer...
unless i set subwoofer to "plus", the bass level from front speaker and subwoofer definitely deep...  sweat.gif

Large...for any other speaker except satellite type speaker...

(thats why I rarely switch on the subs)

It all depends on your expectation of your system. If you are satisfied with the bass coming from the front speakers alone and don't need the subwoofer, then set to 'Large'.

But even a good pair of front speakers are no match for a decent subwoofer when it comes to reproducing the low frequency sounds. And besides, the sub would be able to take over some of the power load of the amplifier for the bass requirements. For the best low frequency sounds, set to 'Small', even for large front speakers.

At the end of the day, it's your system, you have your reasons, and if you are happy how it sounds, nobody can say you are wrong.

I got the Pioneer Series 8 speaker system from a contest last year. This was something which I would not have thought of buying with my own money. I offered it for sale but nobody wanted to buy it either. So I 'have no choice' but to use it... tongue.gif

Anyway, just today I noticed that at the back of the speakers, there is a sticker with the KEF and Uni-Q logos next to the Pioneer logo!
It's strange that none of the reviews on the Internet has mentioned anything about KEF drivers being used on this Pioneer speaker series.
No complaints though, they sound great.

The pioneer reseller in sg also told me the same thing. Sone of their better speaker sets use the same drivers as KEF. They also had some decent speakers there but cost S$20k for a set. Problem with higher range speaker products nobody wants to pay top dollar for pioneer, so if u were thinking of selling them u will find it difficult unless u r willing to sell at a bargain.

Yes, I also think that the price is quite high for Pioneer speakers compared to the other more famous speaker manufacturers (I am not saying the product doesn't deserve that kind of price) - it's a matter of perception and reputation for a particular brand. I am pretty sure they can sell better if rebranded as TAD, their famous brother. I think they are from the same company?
