4. I will of course be using the AVR to power the speakers and pairing it with a 46" bravia (EX). According to auto calibration on rock band, the tv has audio lag of 80ms and video lag of about 45ms. Does running the video through the AVR add significantly to video lag and will there be an improvement on audio lag. (this question is more for the gamers out there)
5. Recommendations of retailers would be appreciated.

Just purchased the P1020 and mated it to a MS mezzo6. I think this is a perfect match for music stereo. For sub I'm using an old entry level sony active sub which came in as a 5.1 combo set. The mezzo 6 bass is very good and just need a little fill in at the low end. For surround sound i'm thinking of upgrading to a velodyne 12q but that's got to wait as I'm trying to repair my JBL active sub first. Tried Underworld DVD last nite and was very pleased with the sound stage though my 5.1 speaker placement is not perfect due to the odd size hall. I'm going to try my BD disc later when I can resolve my speaker placement. I've demoed the O 608 and there was severe distortion @ 60 volume for stereo and am very happy I purchased the P1020 earlier. The P1020 not only has 6 HDMI but if not mistaken will come with the ipod attachment wire which the 920 don't provide. I've dumped my headphone amp and elite ephones and now listen my ipod music thru the P1020.
Your price quoted are reasonable and kuchingtiger and style laser give very competitive prices, my suggestion pay a little more for the 1020 and get a good floor stander like the mezzo6.
