Thank you for your information. The first time when I listen music using the current type of surround sound, sound very strange. But get use to it now. I use to listen to Satellite Radio, very clear much better then FM. Onkyo certain model have HDMI switching problem & HDMI card use to fail.

Switching to a Marantz amp won't be able to change the Paradigm's sound.
I have Paradigms too and it's something about the tweeter that makes it sound bright.

Topet..I was a VSX819 user and more of a HT guy..changed to 7.2 Marantz SR6006 abt a month ago as well and found it too warm for my liking..more suitable for music I would say. I'm pairing them with Klipsch fronts + surround bipole, BA Centers and SVS sub and I found my movie experience is less bright than pioneer as before but no doubt clarity is better.

When I did further research (post buying..lol), I found out the review saying SR6006 using similar audio amp/sound processor or something like that to their integrated stereo amp PM6004.

Bought Marantz coz was thinking of getting the more advanced Audyssy calibration vs MCACC and also to pair with my Marantz CD5004 player.
