QUOTE(DecaPix @ Aug 24 2010, 09:27 AM) well i key in a very short address that i'm sure will have hit I faced this problem before when I just flashed my Desire to custom Froyo ROM.like dang or ss but still empty wondering what i did wrong 2 possibilities: 1) Something wrong with your SD card. Try fix the error by mounting SD card to a computer as Disk Drive. Right click your SD drive, goto Properties, Run Scandisk under tools tab, Start it with Auto fix on. 2) Reinstall the Papago X5 and copy again the NAVISea folder from source to SD card. |

Hi,
Am using the Papago X5 on HTC Desire running Android 2.2 and notice that the navigation voice prompt has a *clap* sound after each sentence, e.g. turn left *clap* then turn right *clap*. It was not there when running Android2.1. Is the X5 not fully support Android2.2 yet? Please advice. Thanks |

QUOTE(xngjn @ Aug 29 2010, 03:06 AM) how long did yours papago to catch gps signal?my sometime need more then 30sec to get the signal. is phone problem or the software problem. cos some time very fast can get the signal. sometime need very long time only can get or even cant get the signal. i tired to catch the signal at same location. GPS locking will be much faster when you are in a place where you have a clear view of sky, usually few seconds to 1 min. |

QUOTE(wanderman @ Sep 3 2010, 10:17 AM) Hey azrudin99, i'm using htc desire too but unrooted n upgrade to 2.2 lately. I used papago M7 and am using X5 now on my Desire with android 2.2, both works well. How do u get the satelite thingy to work? mine dosent work at all. At the top right corner there's a satelite icon keep blinking wif the "?" symbol on it. Any idea how to work on it? Thx Make sure you are in an area with clear view of sky and you will able to get GPS signal quickly, usually few seconds to 1 minute. It usually wont get GPS signal if you are inside a building. |

If yes, meaning the software is working.Added on September 3, 2010, 7:09 pm I did turn on b4 start X5. or If u not turning on, the program will direct u to open it. GPS signal failure could be various reasons. Are you on an rooted phone? |

QUOTE(wanderman @ Sep 4 2010, 03:27 PM) Aih... now i manage get it working The small pic u mentioned is the Junction View, appears when you are reaching junctions (Some junctions only, not all)Tis wat i did, i reset factory setting again n update to 2.2 After installing all the file needed, then the gps working again Another thing, y my X5 not same as the 1st page 1 a... no 3d mode The 1 i mean is the small pic at top corner as per video show. In Froyo 2.2 clapping sound only apply to a few language, English, Mandarin(chinese) & Hakka, but in Cantonese no such problem, wondering why a?? I have the same problem on clap sounds except Cantonese, people suggesting to re-encode the sound files, but I have no idea how to do so as I dont find any media converter that supports gwv format. |

QUOTE(patrick1234 @ Sep 13 2010, 07:11 PM) Hi Bro, M7 is Taiwan version, the version i used was modified with MFM maps. X5 is officially Malaysia version, UI is nicer and map icon is fixed compared to M7 which had the wrong map icons (Eg petrol station with a Starbucks logo etc)Thanks for the link you provided. But is the software is free? Or it is a trial version? Added on September 13, 2010, 7:13 pm Hi Bryan, Do you means u tried M7 and X5 with Desire android 2.2? Can I know what is the different M7 and X5? Do you bought the license for the papago? Sorry a... I'm new with android phone. Thanks... Nope, mine is not genuine, however I will not talk abt the *ahem* version here. If you wan to buy 1, I strongly recommend X5, but bear in mind there might be a weird *clap* sound at the end of each navigation sound if u use on Desire with android 2.2. You need to confirm this with the seller before you buy. |

QUOTE(cristiano7mu @ Sep 17 2010, 01:04 AM) ya same... This question has been asked several times before, seems like many people get confused when they start Papago and the map is not moving.i just install and 1st time open it ask whether i wanna use wifi/internet or gps i untick wifi/internet then my current location is in KL... i havent try go outside yet... is it possible to set to wifi in the program? cant seem to find the setting for it and my phone is HTC desire. When you see there is a satellite icon on the top right flashing, it means the phone is trying to look for GPS signal and locking down ur location. You need to be in an open space to get GPS signal only then the map navigation works. It wont work when you are inside a building. Papago only works with GPS, there is no option to run on WIFI/3G. |
