detect as in real time? i doubt it can, those alert are come with the map (MFM, MSM) which mark some regular speed trap or police roadblock spot only. definitely not as like what u said that like satellite detected a roadblock ahead of you and sending you a warn.

QUOTE(nghj @ Dec 1 2009, 08:39 AM) MCR2.9 is modaco custom rom version 2.9. u can get from modaco website. the only thing i dunno is, where did the papago x5 with mfm map support come from? preinstalled? Downloaded from Papago site but it was taken down last week probably due to the M'sia launch coming this week. Google Android_X5_20090818_MY+SG.zip see if u have any luck.

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Nov 30 2009, 08:59 PM) Yo Mod, how come yours can work on MFM? MCR2.9 is android ah? buntutman said MFM not release for Android yet wor, especially to work with Papago X5... Maybe you can share your experience with those that having problem hanging on startup... Regarding the MFM Maps, it's complicated. I don't know what are the deals/T&C btw MFM and Papago as the map WAS available to download via Papago site few weeks earlier. To those who purchased Papago and having startup problem it's better to contact Papago Support. Added on December 1, 2009, 10:32 amQUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Dec 1 2009, 10:27 AM) Meaning the one you download from Papago website already come with the MFM map? Or you still have to go MFM and download the map? It's separate download, after official launch of Papago you can get the updated maps from MFM i presume. QUOTE(vexus @ Dec 4 2009, 04:44 PM) Papago do not provide trial version for its GPS software, you need to purchase the License Key to be able to use it.

QUOTE(buntutman @ Dec 4 2009, 05:12 PM) Thx for clarification, but the Trial offer only available at PC Fair and NOT from Papago site download. For those who download from Papago Website, there is NO TRIAL. Hope this clear some doubts.

QUOTE(Remedy @ Dec 8 2009, 10:01 AM) Maybe it work for taiwan folks but not us... or at least it doesn't work for me... or not compatible with MFM maps. it can successfully launch the application just stuck in the x5 logo screen. Taiwan version need Taiwan Maps else it won't work and stuck at the startup screen (X5 Logo), and i believe currently only Taiwan version support Android Donut 1.6.

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Dec 8 2009, 01:55 PM) Meaning we cannot have other maps in SEA version? Like I freq Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand a lot... So will that mean that I need different version of Papago ah? correct, SEA version can only use SG+MY map. I could be wrong but i tested with TW map and no go.

QUOTE(MaggieMee @ Dec 17 2009, 06:39 PM) actually, garmin is more open than papago. Garmin's map editor aka mapsource is more readily avalaible. rofl, FYI he is one of the taiko who did and compile MFM maps that we all using now.

One of the MFM taiko told me that Papago will update its android software by this year end, if not early next year to X6. The current problem is not certain phone model that can't run Papago, its Papago SEA version not compatible with the OS/firmware that runs the phone. Most of the current Andoid phones already ship with 1.6 or even 2.0 firmware, Papago will need to upgrade or loss of market share here.

QUOTE(harrychoo @ Dec 21 2009, 10:18 AM) Means if we buy the Papago X5 now, we will get free update to X6 in the future? Or need to purchase another X6? Should be free upgrade.
