Is there any way to export Papago favourites? As a backup, you know. And how do I stop that music playing when I start Papago X5? BTW, Papago map version 110301 is out: http://www.1gps.com.my/download/papago.aspxThis post has been edited by Dannyl: Mar 3 2011, 10:20 AM

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Mar 4 2011, 03:08 PM) I place my phone behind the steering wheel, resting against the speedometer when using the GPS. Me too! Today I also used Papago X5 to go to some place I don't know. It performed well but very long-winded and the voice is not nice. "At the intersection, please, turn right, at the intersection, please, keep to the right lane." Just say la turn right and keep to the right lane

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 10 2011, 06:02 PM) Ohh...that is a Galaxy S variant....Galaxy S is known to have GPS problem. my HTC Desire locks GPS very fast, no problem at all. Today, i turned on the papago inside LG level car park...once and come out and see the sky, it locks in 3 seconds... So Galaxy S, Vibrant and Captivate all have this GPS problems?

The favourite list in Papago X5, which physical file does it save to? Since we can't export the list, I'm thinking to copy out the file manually for backup.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Mar 12 2011, 02:02 AM) not using a-gps? den how to detect my current location? lg optimus 1 user here You have to go outdoors. GPS requires line of sight. Install GPS Test from Marketplace, enable your GPS, then start the app. You can clearly see how many satellites your phone can detect in the open sky. Then the phone will try to lock on to them one by one. Once you have at least 4 locks, GPS can pinpoint and follow your location already. Once locked, exit GPS Test, start Papago, and your location will be shown

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 12 2011, 01:33 PM) What i am asking is WHERE DO YOU SET THE SETTINGS? BEcause i dun see it on my HTC Desire. Which Android you are using? Even then it doesn't mean PAPAGO don't use A-GPS. If somehow you disabled it, then supposely it'll use the GPS only. I am not sure about data coz i am on Digi Smartplan 68, so never bothered...but on my Wave 2, PAPAGO M7 definitely make use of advanced download of data for the satellite location, otherwise it's impossible to lock. I think it's this one. The description sounds like AGPS (using network to set location). Settings -> Location and security -> Use wireless networks (Set location in applications (such as Maps) using wireless networks)

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Mar 17 2011, 09:34 AM) Erm, my phone has no data plan yet. Offed all my data transfers, and tried on the highway once. It got my location and fixed my destination withing a few seconds...So im guessing, it does not use data, but just GPS. No data plan doesn't mean can't use data packets, you know...

QUOTE(fuzore @ Mar 27 2011, 08:55 AM) recently jump ship from symbian to android meaning from garminxt to papagox5... my verdict is papago is much better in term of road maps and advantage to the junction view i just love it when it actually shows which road to take on a junction with 2-3 paths to choose... Papago Pros - junction view / lane assist - very fast indexed searching - looks better Papago Cons - cannot change your vehicle icon - cannot input coordinates - cannot import/export favourites - no voice replacement available (although can make your own) - sometimes voice navigation conflicts with map directions

QUOTE(muslayer @ Apr 28 2011, 07:38 PM) Thanks...seems it only detect when i am outdoor. GPS requires satellite line-of-sight. If you're indoor, how are the satellites going to see you? QUOTE(CuriOu5 @ Apr 30 2011, 12:46 AM) How do I turn off Papago x5 music. You mean the annoying startup music? Rename/delete/move this file: sdcard/NaviSEA/Sounds/StartUP.gwv
