QUOTE(kiwlm @ Dec 8 2009, 08:58 AM) So does it mean this -> http://dl2.papago.com.tw/download/Papago/A...OO_20091125.raris not working? Strange, they released an update that doesn't work. Maybe it work for taiwan folks but not us... or at least it doesn't work for me... or not compatible with MFM maps. it can successfully launch the application just stuck in the x5 logo screen.

No worries for 1.6 Donut users now... they have promised that an update to SEA version will soon come either end of this month or worst case early next month..
and then it will work on Tattoo and on MFM maps.
i guess now we'll just have to wait.. (for 1.6 users)
-----------------------------------------------------
so if there is anyone like me who has bought the software buy couldn't make it to run on your 1.6 phone.. just wait a little while longer.

QUOTE(apika @ Dec 10 2009, 12:47 PM) where can get crack for this? hahaha i don't think we can mention that word here.. even if you ask that as a joke. RM99 isn't a price too high to pay in support for papago to create this great software for us right? Why not just get the authentic version?

even RM148 i think is a good price to pay for the only gps software here which is able to support local MFM maps on android.
people could pay RM800 to buy a gps device.. why not RM148 to turn your phone into equivalent?

QUOTE(moyl_finuda @ Dec 12 2009, 10:01 PM) jst wanna ask, android noob here, after reading the posts, is htc hero's gps free if use with software like papago? like for example, sony ericsson's G705's gps system will suck data frm the 3g network it depends on what software you using... example like google map will use both gps and your 3g.. while papago is purely gps as the maps don't need to be downloaded online during use. so basically there are no internet charges and gps service is free.

QUOTE(buntutman @ Dec 15 2009, 10:55 AM) google earth/google maps is a very good application. assuming you get to use the voice navigation, how sure are you that the turn restrictions are gonna be right ? google earth doesnt even show klang areas and alot of other areas. malsingmaps and malfreemaps, struggle to keep up with the town councils road plannning, even with >10000 contributors. wats more, the poi's collected from 10000 contributors are updated constantly. how would google earth be better than a community map ? in aperiod of 7 days alone, at least 30 points are being taken off, due to closure or shifting of businesses. another 50 are added, and 5 more corrected for spelling. so google earth/maps is a good or not a very good application?... your statements sounds contradicting..
