Nope, all BB device can install BB App World for sure, just depend on the country is available to sell Apps through the App World or not only.
I installed App World with the link provided here in my Bold 2, and curve 8520 is for sure can install the App World because my friend who hold 8520 told me to get that installed in my BB

I tried to download App World from my Bold 2 but it says it does not fulfill system requirements. What does it mean? What do I have to do to download it? And will it work in Malaysia if I downloaded?

follow exactly the link, is case sensitive. This link you straight away download and install the App world for you.
It will work perfectly for the free apps but the apps which need to pay is not working, because the App World is not officially selling any apps in Malaysia

Backup all your application via BDM, do a factory reset, install back your 5.0 OS, restore all your application, then install again the AppWorld via the web link (case sensitive). Hope it works.
