they are different...
Pentium D is basically 2 Pentium 4 slapped together, while Core Duo is based on Pentium M with some radical changes compared to Pentium 4... the most significant of all, the shared L2 cache...

Core Duo 1.73GHz should be around the lvl of a Pentium Dual Core... GTX - hardcore class: x60-x95 GTS - performance class: x50-x59 GT - mainstream class: x20-x49 G - value class (include integrated): x01-x19
where x = generation number...
note that GTS 260M is a special case, as there is GTX 260M as well... these are the only 2 models in Nvidia's product line to overlap the model number..

try replace x with 1, 2, 3 and so on... as for GTS 260M and GTX 260M, they are 2 different cards with different GPU and spec, despite having the same model number... This post has been edited by astria: Nov 20 2009, 06:24 PM

GeForce is for gaming wat... yup, GTS 260M and GTX 260M are totally different, thus it really beats me why Nvidia want to give them the same model number...

HD3300 confirm has 128MB SidePort memory... but that is optional for HD3200 and HD4200...

yup, HD3200 and HD4200 would need to share RAM in most models of mobo...
i ve seen a few rare ones which have SidePort as well...
but it really depends on if u re going to use the integrated graphic or not... if u re not, which Radeon u use doesn't make much diff...

well, HD2400 has got 128MB and 256MB versions... but the bit is gonna limit wat HD3300 can do, but heck, given only 40SP, i doubt u can really see the difference...
