they are different...
Pentium D is basically 2 Pentium 4 slapped together, while Core Duo is based on Pentium M with some radical changes compared to Pentium 4... the most significant of all, the shared L2 cache... |

juz change... Pentium D is hot and slow... 130W TDP...
 change to new CPU and mobo... i suggest Athlon II with Socket AM2+ AMD 780G or 790GX mobo... u can re-use the otehr stuff...  no pt going for LGA775 or waiting for Core i3... This post has been edited by astria: Nov 19 2009, 11:43 PM |
