Can someone verify if this is a bug or something?

In the homescreen settings where it says:

Shortcuts
Search
Music Player
Radio
Calendar

When I just tick them all except for shortcuts, they don't show up on the homescreen except for search. I'm using the very latest firmware.

Anyone has this problem? thanks

Nothing related to the "dialer and address book" problem. The "bug" if I may call it that, is that "shortcuts" needs to be ticked in order for the other options below "shortcuts" (i.e. music player, radio and calender) to show up on the homescreen.

Wait a minute, are you saying that when you tick on "music player", "radio" and "calender" except "shortcuts", you also don't get the 4 little square icons of music player, radio and calender unless these apps are running?

You should have it. Try activating it in the homecreen settings. Sorry I don't have the phone with me right now to give direct instructions.

I know it's a little late, but wanted to thank you guys/gals for helping me out a few post back. Problem solved thanks to you.

Did you search a website through the phone's google? If so, I noticed that the phone uses wifi to connect to google and then auto switches to the telco's gprs service like your wap when you click on a website in google. Try manually typing in a web address and go to it. See if you are still using wifi. Please post back your results

Hi, need a tiny weenie help:

After conneccting to my home's WLAN, I can do a search using the phone's inbuilt Google, but when I click on a link in google, the phone wants to connect to Celcom's gprs service. Any solutions apart from deleting the gprs settings?

Yes, I set all my settings to "always ask". You can verify this if you have wifi. First connect to wifi, then use google to search for something. When you click on a link in the search results page, you will be auto connected via gprs or asked to be connected if in offline mode. Would appreciate any help if someone can reproduce this "problem".

My gf wants me to install a whole bunch of games for her 5800xm. Wouldn't that clutter up her app menu? is there a better way to organise these games?

When I activated Assisted GPS, I noticed there was a message that kept prompting me if I wanted to access the network in garmin. This message appeared a few times along the journey to which I replied yes. Does that mean that whenever I reply "yes", a 10 cent fee is charged? thanks
