mine also oct09 stock and back of box did state tv-out not supported and dealer did mention no tv-out. Chances are tv-out not supported but kenot confirm coz no cable ma

my fw is v21.0.025. any point of upgrading to the latest version ?
*
Newer FW usually offers better stability, power usage, better RAM usage, and well, almost everything better. That's your point. Unless there's a bug in the FW, it's better to upgrade. Basically newer FWes are developed due to one thing : customer complaint. These FWes tries to solve or leverage those issues. So don't you think it's wise to upgrade (unless of course, the FW is buggy). But anyway most FWs are buggy, just whether it is serious or not. that's why they kept on putting new FW. Just like your Windoze or Linuxes, there's always security updates, software updates bla3. FW purpose is basically the same like them...

so plz, no more Q on : Should I upgrade my FW bla3 this3 that3. sleep.gif"

update : hmm. that's weird. going to opera through m.opera.com with tube will redirect me into opera mini mobile site, while going straight to www.opera.com/mobile, i'm able to install and run opera mobile 10. i understand that our OS should be the same with N97, making it a possibility, but shouldn't the cert disallow us to install. or are they just not making a formal announcement that "All s60v5 are supported, instead only N/E series". damn marketing technique... sleep.gif"

Added on November 4, 2009, 5:26 pmupdate2 : wow. what the F*. Running Opera mobile only already eat up the whole Mem.

before running : 44 MB ++ left
running : 2 MB left.. finally to 596kB left before tube automatically kills down Opera Mobile. damn, no wonder not certified for us :|

oh yeah, i was opening my gmail using tube when Opera Mobile suddenly became so hungry it ate 40+ MB of RAM? walaowey~

Thats why we use opera mini 5 then opera mobile 10
*
yes i know. just plain testing compatibality of opera mobile 10 in tube.

note that opera mini 5 is basically a java/midp file rather than opera mobile 10 which is sis, meaning it is specifically built for nokia (update: or . well. other symbian-based phone like sony which uses uiq and bla3). i was hoping of some advantages prior to using opera mobile 10 senyap2, but well, the other thing happened. haha

now need to wait if there will be opera mini nokia version for tube, not JAR/MIDP. seriously the font is smoother in opera mobile 10 tested on tube, not to add the usability which does seems better and smoother though, but at a hefty price, RAM RAM RAM~
