Nope! Coastal, Sealink and Alam got 20%+ profit margin. KNM also can hit 13%
Scomi only ~5.5%  rclxub.gif

BTW, I based on some few months ago data, may not be very accurate...
*
Wondering whether to keep holding SEALINK at the moment.... hmm.gif

us unemployment jumps to 10.2% and payroll losses were 15K more than expected ci monday will have nice show
*
"November 06, 2009
In October, the unemployment rate rose to 10.2 percent, the highest since April 1983, and nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline (-190,000). The largest job losses over the month were in construction, manufacturing, and retail trade."

This was expected. Unemployment is a lagging indicator and the markets will shrug it off IMHO...

Well at least it was accurate it hit 10% by end of the year. I'm surprised this isn't factored into DJIA yet.  brows.gif

this was what the FTSE 100 did after payroll data came out. ~1% swing.

totally.
not as bad as it is in a 5-day chart but this was today's chart.

FTSE swung from a +16 to a -38 i think.

I found this article very interesting:
See what you think:

http://seekingalpha.com/article/171075-the...xing-philosophy

Same thing applies to FTSE as so many companies with international earnings choose to list in London.

<till the govt 'caps' bonuses - that is!>

wow i knew the DJIA was skewed but i never saw the figures. thanks! but i think it somehow relates to KLCI in a way some of the weightages in KLCI are skewed to .. ahemahem companies.

tbh, i use the S&P 500 as a broader guideline, and support it with HSI's movement to get a rough idea whether KLCI will have a bad/good day.
*
Yup.
That analysis was quite an eye-opener for me - and (of course) the KLCI is a total travesty of the truth.

The worrying thing is (as the author says) that so many blindly follow what is (actually) a totally flawed index.... hmm.gif
