found an original Made in England pair in my old storage since the 90s. checked the condition and it's still sturdy as a horse! bet those made in china ones wouldn't last this long.
only worn it a few times cuz it was too big for me and I forgot about it till now haha.

Info for those who are looking for a pair locally, saw a Black 8 eyelet boots, should be the Original series 1460 in Pavillion Tangs going for RM509 with 20% discount. ;-)
*
QUOTE(vivabp @ Dec 4 2011, 09:41 PM)
but rm509 still overpriced izzt?
*
QUOTE(71ers @ Dec 5 2011, 01:57 PM)
if it is the vintage series Made In England, it is a very good bargain.
*
QUOTE(Mr. Z @ Dec 6 2011, 03:03 AM)
after 20% should be RM409..

I doubt that it ll be made in england.. its only RM409, UK sells the asian Doc for 80 - 90 pounds

Bargain? Maybe you should look around RM40 Doc.. psst... let me know if u found them... ;-)

Dr. martens at tangs are made in china/vietnam.... and only comes on black...

QUOTE(71ers @ Dec 6 2011, 08:30 AM)

Go to "super blues", in Peratama Complex.
They simply have the largest collection of DM in malaysia.

anyone know where 'Zorro' in Campbell move to?

ive been to menara campbell at one of the bundle shop (located at 2nd floor) and they sell LOADS of Dr. Martens Made in England. Comes with all sizes, patterns and colors. the price is also quite reasonable. If u guys are bundles guys... this is a very good chance to get a decent 2nd hand Dr. Martens

Just gotten my cherry dm 1460 in London for 84 pounds biggrin.gif
Any tips on how to take good care of them?
My first pair of expensive boots
*
just wear it. if its dirty, wipe it with a damp cloth. if u wanna make it last longer use leather conditioner. other than that just wear it like its ur only boot.

I have gotten the ultra protection , water and stain repellent together with the boot. Totally forgotten to. Get the leather moisturizer though, do you know any thing to replace that?
Thanks in advance smile.gif

honestly i never own a Dr. Martens but i do have other boots. the way i care for them is only use leather conditioner which is a product called Obernaufs. pretty darn tough and durable that thingie. if its dirty as i said i only use damp cloth and wipe it out. every 3-6 month i'll apply the leather conditioner to protect my boots. so far so good.

Thanks man ! smile.gif

on a side note, is there anything i can do about the creasing when you walk?
*
hehehe sorry man, i dont have any creasing problem with my boots since most of my boots are made from heavyweight leather. on the other hand, i also use cedar shoe tree to make my boots stays as it is while removing the odors. u can use that method thou im not sure it'll solve the creasing problem.

beside for me crease is part of the character for a boot. well, thats just me i guess

just curious, the ones sold in malaysia at the DM boutiques are MIC, MIV, MIT or mixture? (no i dont meant the MIE ones of course)

thinking of getting it this weekend, finally.
*
yep from what i saw its a mixture. all original but to cut cost i think. anyways.. couldnt beat the MIE. my brother got the MIE from a bundle shop 2-3 years ago and still kicking ass... as for MIC/MIV/MIT a friend of mine bought it last two years and now got a hole lol... but the sole still thick as always... just the outer shell kindda not hold. not like the ol' time MIE Dr. Martens.
