Items on the right are from Dr Martens store (Martens 1461, "Made in China"). Lack of the sticker which describes the shoes on the box from the bundle. No obvious typo, but noted wrong punctuation marks. Commas are replaced by periods on the left side, and the phrase "to last" is joined together in the last sentence. Wrapping paper on the left says "Dr Martens. Air Cushion Sole". Wrapping paper on the right says "Dr Martens. Dr Martens". Could be just a variation. Extra laces on the left did not come in a ziplock bag. Perhaps because it is longer (for 8 holes vs 3 holes), hence unable to fit in the bag. Not sure cos never had a 1460 before. Nothing seems amiss here. Surprisingly the one on the left is tied with a cotton string, while the right one is only tied with a plastic tag. Absence of FB page and official website on the left tag.

I cant compare shoes cos I dont have another pair of 1460. But have a look and perhaps can compare to yours if you guys have one. Can't find anything wrong with the soles. Side view. Yellow stitches overlap for quite some length, but not really unusual, seen similar stitching quality on some shoes at the Martens store as well. The thick black thread stitched on the side of the shoe doesn't seem right. Kinda too close to the edge of the leather. It looks better on the other side. Welt meets at the correct side of the shoe. Colour seems to be accurate, similar with store's cherry red. Leather surface similar with the Martens trademark smooth leather as well. And I believe it is genuine leather, judging by the strong leather smell. Most of the MIT 1460s I've seen have darker leather on the inside, and the stamp on the shoe tongue is usually in silver. Not sure if there are variations. Insoles. The font seems off. This is the part which makes me think this is likely to be a fake. Another side view. Better stitching quality on this side.
