Hi to all HT sifu's and guru's out there,

I've somewhat managed to identify my first HT setup, and i need some guidance and help to recognize if i had made the right choice. I finalized on all the items below based on my budget and reviews i read online and also taking my room size into consideration (16'x28' including dining). So here we go

1. Speaker - I chose to go with sats which is Klipsch Quintet SL.

2. AVR - Yamaha RX-V665, will this avr match my speakers and drive it properly??

3. Sub - Still no idea which to get, any idea or inputs based on my setup, lets set my budget to be around RM1500.

4. BDP - Panasonic BD-60.

5. Speaker & HDMI cable - QED XT-300 for my LCR and QED Qontour ultra flat for the rears. Does the XT-300 comes in pair for each meter i order or i'll have to order a pair for each speakers?? , and HDMI cables will be QED reference from BDP-AVR-TV.

I'm still lost when it comes to calibration and all, but that will be another story alltogether, hope we can start a thread on tutorial for newbies .

Bro, Klipsch Quintet SL stop production adi, since you choosing Klipsch speaker, why dun you choose Klipsch sub also?

RM1500 for Sub... you can consider Whaferdale SW150. i think you can get it a bit lower price from LYN members...

I think he means you can try to buy 2nd hand from LYN members. There are a few who are trying to sell of their subs (not only Wharfedale but also Velodyne). Example: arremie there is giving you a hint to contact him about his Velodyne 10R.
