Really love this thread...

Im quite new to android. And i really want to root my hero.. As i did to my previous WM phone..
I need your help bro...
Ive follow ur step.. I entered the fastboot..

ive run

CODE
adb shell reboot bootloader     (hit Enter)

it works fine..
then when im trying to

CODE
fastboot boot recovery-RA-HERO-v1.2.3.img     (hit ENTER)

it displays "recovery-RA-HERO-v1.2.3.img not found"

Ive tried to use flashrec, but i dont know what to do in there, tried googled it but to no answer.. I have only the option to "restore backup image"

My Kernel Ver is

Flashrec flashes the recovery image on the phone. Thats what you are looking for smile.gif Make sure you have all filenames correct when rooting..

Anyone tried this yet ??

Ive tried it, but yet to see any result...

disabled compcache and inserting this memory tweak... hoping to see my hero fly!!!

quoted from modaco site..

QUOTE

Wrote the code in to the file:
/system/init.d/teknologist.sh

And using the following code:
echo "1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree

Procedure:
- Copied the teknologist.sh from /system/init.d/ to the sdcard with "root explorer"
- Edit teknologist.sh with "text edit"
- Copied the teknologist.sh from the sdcard to /system/init.d/ with "root explorer"

I can confirm that not only does the phone feel more responsive,
I also feel that the battery usage has gone down too.

As a result I have uninstalled my taskkiller app and just left Android manage it on it's own.

Sidenote:
The compcache has been disabled and I have been using the phone without app2sd,
this is because I don't have so many apps and a slow sd card.

My hero went from slow (stock rom) to flying (mcr3.2beta5 rom with memory trick)
