do you have My Book Essential AC Adapter only? Mine's already burnt I think after a short circuit, funny that other electricals connected still working. I tried going back to where i bought it and the tech told me to have it sent it back to supplier. by all means, it's the whole set and as reminder from the tech, the data in the hard disk may be lost and would be replaced by a new one. i understand that it has to be this way if only the hard disk really the one which is faulty. but the thing is, it's 1tb and so man things in there mostly my work and during the time the tech test the adapter, there were no reaction from it. but the tech didn't test the hard disk, and assumed to send for repair.
