Hello Megalodon Users,

I'm thinking of adding Razer Megalodon in my gaming rig. The problem is I have heard NUMEROUS TO COUNTLESS complaints about the headset. Sound cut off ~~ Mic cut off~~. This mostly happens to OS 64bits. And the worst thing is I'm using Windows Ultimate 64bits too. I know the firmware update is available to encounter these problem but some headsets are still not getting fixed. Some even got worse after updating the firmware complaining about the static noise. Too much complaints in google that I need assurances.

1. Any of you guyz are having these problems? If no, pls also state what OS are you operating in. (Well, of course I hope there isn't any as I like Megalodon very much)

2. Razer Megalodon uses USB port to function. That said, I don need a proper sound card?? Just plug in the headset and you can have 7.1 surround sound? Bose Companion 5 marketing gimmick states that you don't need a high-end sound card to experience the surround sound of the speaker so I assume Megalodon doesn't need as well?

i've finally placed an order on Razer Megalodon headset at Moderno but i really got so worried about the numerous complaints on Windows 64-bits...Comeon razer pls don f%#k me up. So far only 1 Megalodon user has reported that np on his. No more megalodon users here?

lol from sarawak cant test the Megalodon ..only shipping option...if the headset got no prob Razer Lycosa mirror, Megasoma mousemat and Apuri will be my next purchase

RM549 not cheap man if I got a defective one...I bought a OCZ vertex 120gb and megalodon so moderno is kind enuff to give me free shipping tho..

lol I understand but the price and the complaints...I cant afford a shitty headset with the price of RM549..

lol what to do....sarawakian always get themselves more expensive products. Any Malaysia websites that looks like Moderno that sell high-end products that also so shipping?

lol, megasoma....unless u got a uv light mod in your pc or anywhere near the pad, the dumb "so called glow in the dark" sign doesnt even glow
