I agree with this. I'm not the only one to face problems trying to get my free windows 7 upgrade. Scanned copies of receipts everything online to them but the website kept saying I have not done so etc. Wrote them emails and there would be an autoreply saying they will reply within 10 business days which they never did.

Also, there are some who managed to get their windows 7 upgrade but on installing, found out certain things eg: hotkeys not working. Some had even more major problems.

If you really want Windows 7, better to buy laptops that have windows 7 installed already.
