great news. few days before winning 11 2010 gets here, and my ps3 malfunctions. black screen..no display. but the green light is on..so sign of YLOD. LOL that's just life i suppose

yeah no YLOD..i wonder what happened. HD corrupt maybe...huhu. i guess i should be thankful there's still about a month left on the warranty does sony style offer home pickups for a broken ps3? i think this was one of their selling points

yep its the fatty. midvalley is their service center right? hmm i guess i'll try a few tricks first and see if i can get it to work..if not..its off to midvalley by friday or saturday. no WE...sigh. sean yours was attacked by the YLOD right?

ic. so the curve branch doesn't do repairs eh..damn. oh well..i'll try other methods first..like swapping the HD...hoho.

hey hey guess what..after trawling through the internet about my hdmi problem and exhausting almost all solutions, i decided to test my ps3 at my buddy's house yesterday. as it turns out..........

haha nolaa..don't think i've tapau'd u before in WE 2009. all were close matches
i haven't even been playing the demo weyy..huhu
aduh almost gave up n sent my ps3 for warranty claim. wouldn't that be silly..waiting for probably more than 2 weeks only for sony to tell me nothing's wrong with it. and most of all, missing out on some much needed WE training!

haihh still find it really bizarre it was the tv itself....such suspense and heart ache

sean, eric guess what? after more hours of trying to resolve the problem and determining it wasn't my tv or the hdmi cable, i finally gave up and sent it in to sony style to claim the warranty. few days later they call me up, and guess what..it was the motherboard. major issue. wonder how that happened

but the biggest surprise is, they said sony will replace it with a NEW UNIT! i've read about a few cases in europe which were resolved in the same manner but never in my wildest dreams that i'd think malaysians would get the same treatment! it'll be available for pickup by next week and possibly tomorrow. thanks sony!
