This theme extracted from N97 Mini (brown) I find it quite nice...
At least.... better than N97 v21 Black Theme... laugh.gif

Hi BuFung, are you sure about it?
Everything was ok here (downloaded and installed, tested working for me)... hmm.gif
Stick with DeviantArt site, this particular N97 Mini Brown theme confirmed free and is working.
If you still having problem with it, I can send it to you... biggrin.gif
The author's homepage got most themes that need to make donation to get it. smile.gif

Error says download failed. Bad internet connection? If you're using wireless, plug LAN cable into router during update.

Also, try hard resetting the phone before update, use Nokia Software Updater on a XP machine, and try updating with the phone off.

And if you changed your code, make sure the PC code is correct. Can check code using Nemesis Suite.
Black: 0576119
White: 0576131

Earlier one member say his N97's code is 0576199, which is no such code. Luckily the code doesn't correspond to another phone, or else sure bricked when update. Imagine accidentally flashing in E72 firmware into N97 because of error in product code.

This is a very good piece of advise.... must take extra care... a little mistake could lead to big disaster...! smile.gif

well i don't think there's a trick/timing..it really straight forward  nod.gif download file needed, open phoenix, refurbish....DONE  rclxms.gif

Hi PyOsE,

One of the file downloaded from Navifirm is:
RM505_507_21.0.045_uda_10_001.uda.fpsx
and the hacked file is
RM505_507_21.0.045_uda_1_001.uda.fpsx

Should I rename the hacked file to ...10_001....fpsx and replace the original copy downloaded by Navifirm before flash? smile.gif

Sharing Nokia Editor - Cook Your Own Firmware

Nokia Editor is a great tool that you can use to extract the ROFS2 from firmware files and then edit it. After you have made your modifications you can simple repack it and flash the firmware file to your phone, allowing you to have modifications such as fonts and pre installed applications, even after a hard reset or format!

http://www.1filesharing.com/download/1EWOM6E8/Nokia

now u have option to touch ure ROM drive, drag drop edit and flash !

This is very nice~! This is very handy~!
Thank you for this, downloaded, I will try it tomorrow... tongue.gif

Many thanks for this~! nod.gif

QUOTE(omarule87 @ Feb 13 2010, 08:31 PM)
too many prob, music player cannot play, cannot access some of the 3rd party app, experience lagging most of the time

i think this is due to me restoring my backup which is most from v20 and then when applied it to v21 along with phoenix, it caused alot of prob

i rememba one of the bro here telling me to untick the setting b4 restoring my backup to v21, but the prob is the setting box comes together with the applications backup so i hav no choice but to include it as well

I guess i need to hard reset again, did it twice already today! and restore my backup but this time without flashing my phone with phoenix, i might enjoy unsigned app with a hacked phone but its not worth to go thru all this prob

I wonder how did ur phone run smoothly with the hack capabilities, lucky u!
*
Dear omarule87, before I hack my phone, I do a full backup.
Then do hard reset and proceed with the hack.
After the hack, I think I supposed to hard reset again but I didn't (I forgot... blush.gif )
Then I restore only my Contact, Messages, Notes, Calender without Settings, User files from Phone Memory

I don't have many application or games installed, but most of them was still in my [Apps.] folder because I install all into E: drive

I do not have music player problem or whatever, I can say, it run smoothly as usual... smile.gif

Can you find the installation files you installed previously?
You can download and install again...
If you use Ovi Store, you can go to [My Stuffs] tab and all your previously installed applications/games will list out there. biggrin.gif

Hi all,

I am still using PC Suite to connect my phone to the computer everyday (I always charge it this way).

Can some one tell me whether Ovi Suite any better than PC Suite?
I'm concerning more about stability issue.
Does Ovi Suite mature enough? smile.gif

Thank you~! biggrin.gif

for me i am kinda happy wit pcsuite. I heard ovisuite have certain things cant do pls correct me i am wrong.
*
Thanks aspire2oo6, a simple search on Google, I found more votes for PC Suite.
Also, Ovi Suite not support compose SMS/MMS on computer... (the latest comments I read was July 2009)
But I'm not sure the most current version still lack this features? smile.gif

If anyone tell me Ovi Suite share the same functionality with PC Suite, then I will stick with PC Suite.
If anyone tell me some advantage of using Ovi Suite than PC Suite, then I might consider a switch... tongue.gif

Thank you... wink.gif

Thank you Xploit Machine... actually I also read this with my earlier search... tongue.gif
But I don't know how much was improved for Ovi Suite since the above post.
I saw the most current version is 2.1.0.87 if not mistaken.

To be honest, I use Message and Contact editor occasionally, but never use those Music, Video functions...
For Ovi Maps, I started to use the map loader since the release of free navigation edition... blush.gif

Looks like I have no point to switch to Ovi Suite since my PC Suite is working properly and I have nothing gain if I switch.

Nokia already stop updating it's PC Suite, so I will wait until they totally phase out the old one... wink.gif

Many thanks for all the replies and the useful information! rclxms.gif

I had this problem before, but at the end I found out the problem was the codec I choose...

All the time I thought N97 would support H.264 AVC, so I make a lot of different combination of frame-rate, video dimension etc... but all failed.
Until I used ISO MPEG-4, the video play smoothly...

But at the end, I still doubt if N97 really can't play H.264?
Phone of 2009 can't play H.264 video? biggrin.gif
Ok, before someone bashing me, this was indeed happened to me, can't play H.264 AVC encoded video file... sad.gif

not only accurate easy to understand and more features to u because garmin can integrate with contacts so if i change any phone that user location will still be stored and i can forward my location to others by sms.
ETC ETC. Map more up to date.

What is the most crucial thing about GPS? isnt the map? Ask yourself who update Ovi maps maps? Garmin are by mapper in malaysia
*
Hah... can you teach how to SMS location to friend? blush.gif
I think this is very useful, so glad to hear that Garmin can do this~! rclxms.gif
