Some question regarding the build in compass in N97, did Garmin XT utilise it's digital compass at all? or did the Ovi Map v3.0 using both it's GPS and compass sensor at the same time to get a more accurate direction heading?
If non of the software really utilise both sensor at the same time then what the usefullness of the digital compass on the device?

Owner of the N97, help needed to verify on this question, because the N97 digital build in compass will be a good buy if it's been utilise during the GPS software routing because from experience the heading direction that only rely on the GPS signal sometime really make some annoy map rotation if suddenly it lost a clear satelite signal . This cause me to only set the map alway heading north to prevent the map wrong rotation which can make me really confuse when driving and depend on the GPS route.

Guys, when you all update v20 at 1U NCC, do they do a fresh install or they just upgrade for you? Do you need to do full backup and reinstall all apps to your phone?

Ok it seems that my N97 is really having the antenna problem. Do you think I could get it fix at the Nokia Service centers? Mine doesn't have any warranty though. May Be I could spend a few bucks to get it done.

gmapsupp suppose to put which folder?
i installed garmin into my memory card directory.
in memory card directory got garmin folder.
so where should i put "gmapsupp" map ?
inside "garmin" folder
or somewhere else?

because i see nothing around me in the map. blank.

Copy and paste gmapsupp.img into garmin folder. Replace the existing .img file (If any). Enjoy.

I did but when browsing the map, right hand side below showed "no map"

sapura black set owner, been using for past 4 months..never encounter any hang issue or camera scratch lens issue...yesterday suddenly twice when i answering a call....currently on V12...

so though off wanna update to V20..but i check *#0000# and FW update, it showed no latest FW available. so mean i need to send to NOKIA centre???

since i be going for a movie in garden later, any NOKIA CENTRE can update V20 for me???thx in advance

urm... after upgrading to v20, i feel that the wifi signal is weaker...

anyone feel the same as i do?

cz i cant seems connect to my sch wifi (which is weak, but v11 still can connect to it)

the problem crashing still persist.... grrrr.....

way to check your map...

on garmin - tools - manage my data - map sets - mapsource

then you can see which map you use, if no map then you didn't installed it at garmin folder
