Did you enabled the Assisted-GPS?
Coz I tried bfore if I disabled it, it really hard to get signal.
Anywhere last Sunday I also unable to get signal during daytime which I not sure why. Now is back to normal.

Without A-GPS, you have to stand in open area (e.g. football field, playground, open air car park, etc.) and launch the app under the hot sun for a few minutes.

Most likely it will not be able to get enough satellites to lock if you are inside building, under roof, trees, bus stop, between tall buildings/objects.

Integrated GPS chip is not as powerful as dedicated GPS device chip.

Without A-GPS, try not to move around for your first try. Do not sit inside car, even if it is not moving. Get out and stand outside. You car roof and interior may be blocking some satellites signal.

Once you get the idea on how non-A-GPS works, then only you start to play around with under trees, inside car, etc.

Anyway, I tried without A-GPS (with phone Offline) in a plane while descending. It manage to get a few signals and records 500km/h+ at 5,000m altitude tongue.gif

I got another question about hard-reset ...

Isnt hard reset suppose to be reset all the factory setting include those apps that i un-installed.

I done my hard reset in follow sequences
1. Remove my memory card, format my memory card
2. hard reset by *#7370#
3. then format my mass memory.

Is weird that i havent got any factory apps such as facebook and so on .. even the game (guitar) that came with the phone in first place are gone ...

Anythings i done wrong ?

Thank you for the search link... smile.gif

Actually I did a search for this last night, still looking for a good guide showing how to downgrade and whether N97 can do downgrade?

But instead of guides, I did found a lot of people said downgrade firmware is a bad move, not encourage and can brick the phone... ohmy.gif

I am worrying and hesitate whether to do downgrading...

I also found JAF is so powerful that can bring bricked phone back to life..?!?! blink.gif

Still considering whether to do take the risk~? hmm.gif

Think about it as a PC comes pre-installed with Microsoft Works, anti-virus, etc. when you purchase from HP/Dell.

After you format it, MS Works, AV, etc. will be gone.

Reason: Factory default is default as what you have done after you reset/format it. It may not contain some extra apps that comes pre-bundled with operators or the phone package.

You have to manual find/google to download and reinstall those missing app, IF the installers are available.
