you mean ur idiotic answer of claming warant if ur lens is scratch...I'm asking whether it have been fix for new batch of n97...apparently not...I'm not going to buy a brand new n97 only to wait for it to scratch and then claim warranty...

a slow poke really a slow poke... Nokia already have the new batch of back housing ready.. that is why NCC have it... It is just matter of time the market clear out the old stock.. for all the new production of N97 of course it is in the new casing...

what for Nokia still coming out with the old housing and creating more job for service center by their own cost....

just keep ur eye open big see when the old batch stock are clear... which forumer can answer ur question regarding this stock status issue?

there is another forumer few page back who just bought n97 too have a different stylus with original batch of N97..
that is first indication.. new one.. is round like pen type stylus...

2nd, you can look @ ur lens cover.. see the lens cover have contact wt the lens or not.. new one it doesnt touch the lens.. where the old one is touching the surface...

just called NCC, gonna get the silver part replaced tomorrow under warranty

Yup, nicky, mine is new batch.. comes with different stylus and the lens wont scratch.. (proven coz been taking lots of photo these days and the lens is still perfect)

I can't touch the lens of camera...it is hidden under the glass/plastic cover....

that is normal for all N97.. all is like that.. have a plastic cover it...

ur lens cover.. look from side.. u see maybe a blue material there under the lens cover... does it touching the plastic cover? or have a small gap?

btw, the stylus is useless.... u cant tie it to the phone... becoz it is too short if u tie it, u cant use the stylus... =.=

ur stylus tie to the phone end is suppose the cap end of the stylus... when u want to use, that is out and it no longer attach wt the string...

I saw blue material, but to determine whether there is a small gap is hard lo...because i think there is small gap but then when i push/press the cover, the gap will be 'no-gap'.....when i dont push/press, there is small gap....

So tell me ..... mine is latest or old ?

if I remember correctly my old lens cover have no gap at all... other member pls confirm this..
it is touching the plastic all the time... that's why it make the plastic scratch..


But my new housing have a big gap.. kind of like > 1mm gap.. even push it also will not contact wt the plastic..
