QUOTE(f4tE @ Oct 28 2009, 10:22 AM)
The number of population in this world are increasing with advance in medical technology bringing the death rate down and new lives are brought into this world everyday. While the Population can be controled by limiting the number of births, there is a nother issue that we face. Its the limited area of land that our world have. Dead will fight with the living for burial grounds. It doesnt go away after they die because we still use up land for the dead. Imagine after a century pass, and billions of people who died, used up lands for graveyard. The best way would be to cremate the body and scatter the ashes into the sea and land. This will free up space used for graveyard but it comes to the question of believe and culture. Some people want to have a tombstone for their coming generations to pay respect to like how we pay respect to our ancestors. DO you guys think this will be a problem in the future?

A population that has lost the desire to reproduce is also one that has lost the will to survive.

Burial space is however not the most pressing issue that humans will face due to a population boom.

The earth's resources are finite, while our capacity for reproduction is not - and in fact has to be kept that way if humanity as a whole is to have the genetic vigor to survive catastrophes and extinction level events.

The problems of the future will be far darker than anyone has imagined.

I foresee Malaysia becoming more like Indonesia and the Philippines in the future.
