as far as i know, they will put yur name in the list base on yur trial, then they wait until yur final result..
then they will decide base on yur final, but there are some rare case that the sponsorship is based on trial, very rare...

I think some local private colleges offer scholarships based on your trial. But your real SPM has to be on par or better than your trial la or else they will stop the scholarship.

SPM academic result/qualification and extra curricular activity participation/posting/achievement for getting a chance at getting a scholarship from a private corporation for an entry to a local University.

That's how I did during my days.

Regards, Joey

p.s: I think you need STPM result because the system has changed. SPM applicant for University entry is not applicable.

mostly the one which your intake is before your SPM result comes out.
in the 80's and 90's, asrama and MARA kids are usually sent to 'training' for overseas straight away after the SPM exam. This was bcoz these student are bunch of good ones in their trial results. Some in January were already sent overseas, like Japan, USA, etc.
But quality wise in career we normal kids still scores!
So don't worry, just have in mind, WTH SPM is for? It all depends on your SPM. Unless that you want to go to private college, you can just take your result(if good) and go in. Some private school kids are doing that already now.

There are scholarships based on trials result. My friend already got her scholarship in her hand using her Mid-term exam.

As for private college, they will see your trial result, but the real SPM decides all. After you got your SPM result, only the college give you their scholarships but of course you need to study there.

Private colleges do take trial SPM examination results as an entry to their college, if im not mistaken. My friend started her Sunway College studies, when it was still January. And she was offered a 'scholarship' or a fee discount based on her real SPM result.

such scholarships for diploma students who wants to advance themselves into

Yes. It is possible. Keep a look out for private companies that provide scholarship to those who are eligible per criteria.

AFAIK Sime Darby and JPA scholarships are based on trial results. for JPA, the scholarships is for oversea's study, mainly in Japan. got a student from my school was entitled the scholarship 2 years ago, and he's already doing foundation in Japan while actual SPM results came out.

That's so lucky. It's always been my dream to study in Japan or even visit there as on vacation. But, I never work hard on it so I my chances were thrown into deep sea and never will be found.

My friend also got her scholarships from JPA but she's going to Australia instead.
