Just saw it a couple of hours ago.

There has been screenshot of it, but now it's official. Meant to be released by November.

Key features :

Bluetooth support.

Anything else you guys looking at?

HTC please release it for Hero.

List of new features here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.0-highlights.html

You can play with some of it now on your PC by downloading the SDK, and running the emulator with android 2.0. Given the stuff that's missing in the emulator, it's also probably a good indicator too of where android 2.0 ends, and the proprietary google experience (google apps, sync) and carrier extensions (sense, blur, etc) sit.

Google should have made android update-friendly so we dont need to wait for HTC to make update..
waiting is such a pain, & we dont even know if there will be any!

check this out ... 1st eclair review avail on gizmodo.com

http://gizmodo.com/5395801/android-20-revi...kyline=true&s=x

since the official 2.0 eclair hardware just only Motorola droid at his time .. so this review a lil bit related to the droid .. we have to wait till the Eclair compatibility it self in hero .. coming soon .. the htc are now working hard to mix up the ingredient between Eclair and SenseUI and it would be great tho ..

abit disappoint with X10 release .. i tot it will come out with Eclair but ... the release date maybe was in rush .. so i think .. android and se lovers .. should wait for Eclair update for Xperia X10.. hopes it will enable the multitouch feature on Xperia10
another disappointment that the X10 screen are so large but lack of multi-touch or pinch zooming feature ..

so just curious, say we have Magic/Hero with Android 1.5/1.6

Will HTC ever allow for official update to 2.0/2.1 or you gotta use a custom ROM?

custom rom is almost done .. but .. we need to wait till HTC release camera driver/software for eclair update .. thats all ..
but htc wont helpin those hacker for free .. so .. i think 2.0 official ROM for magic should be release 1st so that the hacker would "paw" the driver from there ..
