QUOTE(clivengu @ Nov 6 2009, 03:30 AM) I actually went to sony to get hold of the 70200G+ 135mm F1.8 myself... n i must say is really heavier than i thought. but focusing is DAMN SMOOTH+SILENT n fast. (compare to Prime 135mm F1.8).. Just the weight... with the lens attached to body.. Is omost impossible to held it with just one hand on the camera body...with beercan still can... Eventhough is a fast lens, but actually handling the lens itself will oredi slowing down. If i go for the 70200 F2.8 im pretty sure i'll get the Sony one. Afterall it is the Pride of Alpha ... Sony + sony lens should hv the best output. Eventhough more expensive than tamron/sigma.. but is much cheaper than the Nikkor. i never thought a few hundred grams matters so much either..lol..when i got my 2470cz i was like wah..so heavy..after using it for awhile..1 day i put back my sp90..i feels soooooooooo light..cant feel the weight at all..lol..now 70200 is " a few hundred grams" heavier than 2470 again..thats y its putting me off...

QUOTE(albnok @ Nov 6 2009, 10:11 AM) achew: The beercan is lighter than your 24-70mm and easy to hold. Go find some Sony/Minolta fans in Clubsnap to get a hands-on! i seriously thought about it b4...but i was worried that i might regret after awhile..lol..so skip this idea n wait for 70200 >.<

QUOTE(blur @ Nov 6 2009, 09:39 PM) Hi... I'm new to photography and all. Lucky to have found and bought a a300 few months back. But now I finally think it's time to get an all ranged lens. Was hoping you guys can recommend me something that covers from 18mm to 200~300mm? I've been reading on SAL18250, and other equivalents. But everywhere I go seems to have mixed reviews, both positive and negative. The more I read, the more undecided I got. Instead, I was "almost" determined to get the Tamron 18-270 Di Aspherical something-something-something (Too long of a name), until I found out that it doesn't fit A mounts. Lol. So I'm kinda hoping anyone here has hands on experience and can fill me in? Thanks in advance! welcome to the family.. basically im not really a fan of those all in one lens...i would suggest u buying something better...1680cz or 16105 at least..for longer range..if u really need it..get a beercan... but thats just me...i dont really mind changing lenses..n bring 1 or 2 more lenses go out to get the desire effects..which is impossible to achieve with those all-in-one lenses..

QUOTE(blur @ Nov 6 2009, 10:29 PM) Wow! Thanks for the swift reply IeR and laszlo. Edit: and ahchew. Lol. Didn't even see your reply yet when posting this. It's a300 by the way, not a a330. Xp I actually bought a F58AM not long ago. And a 50F18 recently. Then using the 50mm I realized it's too much of a zoom for me. And I want to get something with better f rating. The 1870 just doesn't satisfy anymore. So "basically", I'm just looking for one more lens to fill the gap the 50mm can't. With better aperture rating. Although, after reading more, I'm also contemplating to get a 17-50 and a 50-200 instead now. Lol. Seems like both ways will achieve what I want and with "almost" similar cost. But going 2 lens allows me to have better aperture at the lower mm range. Sigh... Back to Windows Calculator and more browsing. Lol... Do advise... Thanks! so u mean 50mm is too far??then y bother 50200mm???get a 1635 F2.8 instead =D

QUOTE(blur @ Nov 6 2009, 11:05 PM) Oops.. I meant 50mm is too far for "close" shots. Lol! I enjoy taking full body shots but 50mm requires me to stand further than I'd like to. Hence the desire for a 18++mm. Edit: Lol... CZ lens is too good for me. -.-" $$$ factor. get tammy then =) but it stil doesnt justify y do u need a long range telephoto...

for higher mega pixels?
if its used for studio work where lighting is not a problem...i don see any drawback using CCD...
but still...this is an old old rumour..but somehow Cnet fall into the trap..

haha..my portrait style editing stil tend to make it a lil bit softer...but if i make my cat-eyes softer..it looked kinda weird >.< anyway...slightly tweak it...hope there is some diff..lol..just slightly soften the bokeh(make it closer the her) and sharpen the whole shot a lil.....might not b visible in small size.. QUOTE(clivengu @ Nov 9 2009, 05:29 AM) like this much better than the "Bokeh Bombs" above.. This one more.. "Indirect bokeh"... nice approach... Im curious to see the original photo b4 the noise reduction at iso 800 only slight noise at the reflection area when i brighten it up a lil...the rest almost noiseless =)

QUOTE(ReasonsofThanatos @ Nov 9 2009, 07:31 PM) u mean like putting captions or description to the picx? nope...i mean like...let the viewer know what u trying to tell them..or at least let them think that u put in effort to setup/compose it nicely..rather than just shoot it without 2nd thought...
