still underwarranty?? fast fast go send to sony style...tell them u found fungus.....also tell them its their sony fault or dealer fault...as u keep your things in a drybox...so it's impossible the fungus can grow unless it's ALREADY there when you bought it....crap something up and get ur warranty worth..

Faster go get a drybox.... raining season will make the air more humid. Thus promotes fungus growth

send send send, hahaha, but they only will do cleaning for u, they will not change lenses/glass for u, coz fungus are user inflicted. sad.gif

*edit: the service is good if follow the truth. sometime they give extra service. sometimes, they cant (especially when come to changing parts)

u can ask them change ur flash hotshoe also (loose) and tighten ur Amount, (like virgin when u first put ur lens in) etc

btw, all labour charge is FREE during warranty period. so including cleaning service is free. but when come to changing parts, they will call u and ask for comfirmation. for sabah sarawak, they get free shipping... biggrin.gif

when warranty finish, walao, the shipping from sabah sarawak alone can kill u

it will affect contrast (which affect AF speed. AF accuracy), color. but it depends, maybe the fungus spot is at some corner not at the AF points, then it's not noticable. wink.gif

Had a look at a550 in Centre Point, KKinabalu. Hold and tested it a bit. Quite nice. Much better handling ergonomics than a230, a330. One thing which I found to be slightly discomforting is the shutter button. Have to be careful when pressing the shutter button to auto focus as pressing it slightly can trigger the shot, rather than just wanting to auto focus. But I guess user will get use to this.

Which memory card (brand, size, speed etc) do you guys reccommend for the a550? There's 2 slots there.
Im seriously considering getting a a550, maybe the a550 and CZ1680 bundle. sweat.gif

i think its really worth to buy a dry cabinet...afterall it saves some trouble for u...and since we spent a few thousands bucks on camera+lenses..whats wrong to keep them safely in a 200 300 bucks cabinet..

i think if the fungus is not too serious...after cleaning the IQ should not be too badly affected..but its pure guessing..better wait for pro..
