Hi guys, any idea how power this up and still being portable ? Round CCFL

Thinking of diy-ing it for a ring light. Asked at alphantics but no replies yet.

Left school too long ago to remember how to transform voltage up! Our batteries are 1.5 volts mostly. I would guess that 8 AAs would be needed for a 12 volt light?

Ahaks than its not so practical anymore. But yea its better than led ring light as it is ccfl. Still thinking of getting the lens that i asked from you.

best would be 1 F20...1 F42(or F58)..1F58..wahahaha..so if got 2 flash to play strobes~

y i always said i wanna get a radio trigger its bcoz that somethings i do low key shots(over often)..and my room in singapore is freaking small..so any light spill from the CTLR would spoil my low key >.<

Radio triggers are commonly used in;

1) bright sunlight where the pop-up flash signal may not reach the wireless flash (shading the wireless flash sensor works)
2) extreme long range

Given that you just want to prevent light spill, it is much easier to:

1) buy a roll of ASA100 12-frame film (RM5)
2) pull that roll of film out and expose it to light for a few seconds
3) send it to the same shop to process (RM5)

Now you have infrared-pass film! This blocks normal light but allows the flash signal from the IR spectrum to reach your off-camera F58. I would suggest taping the film over the F20 head (but make sure WL mode is on, or it will burn the film in TTL mode.)

You can also use the remainder film to cover your lens and work as a rudimentary IR pass filter.

Cool. Nice idea on infrared-pass film. Can do this if i want to WL with my F42.

well, from what i know, only A550 would benefit SAM's lens when used in AF-C (+burst), where it provide enough speed for AF. other then that, older AF sensor arent that smart to put the AF-C to the limit like A550 does.

So in nutshell, I can use the same method to wireless trigger F58 from A2x0/3x0/5x0 pop out flash without spills light from the pop out flash? Sorry ar... still a noob about wireless flash...

i want ask is a almost 1year old camera battery(A300) normal when shooting for 3hours and 40% battery is gone? ><

actually crumpler bag r very easy to imitate...but well...get it coz u like the brand or quality..not to show off or anything..or imitate or not..im ok with it =)

Added on November 20, 2009, 5:55 pmi think should be ok..consider 100% used up would be around 7.5hours..sounds reasonable especially if u keep using the popup flash and live view..but thats based on my assumption that u almost shooting non stop during ur 3hours...coz if u keep idling..by right ur camera would be in power saving mode which doesnt really consume that much energy

I want a sleek slim bag that can just hold my camera with CZ + flash. ): And the Sony MS10 is so THAT bag. Zaloon is selling it for 239. 11 bucks cheaper than sony style. LOL.

maybe im a little crumpler fanboy..lol..had been using their bags for ages...already have 8 of their bags..lol..guess i'll make 7MDH no.9
