Just recently i really go into detail n check how my flashgun actually works n how to control it...(i seldom played with it cause if outside, too much flashing could irritates ppl especially in cafe etc)

.. I want to ask...If im to use Wireless Flash... I hv my pop up flash on.. Sync with my F42... then Okey it fires... I can control the Power of the F42 manually.. but is there a way to control the power of my Pop up Flash. I always find the pop up flash is annoying powerful. I used to think the Flash compesation in d camera controls the power of pop up flash, but i'll hv to manually adjust my F42 power for it to do so...If let the Flash/camera to decide the F42 power.. i'll hv no control over the pop up flash...is getting a bit confusing here.. er.. get wat i mean? mayb there r still many things i dont understand... tongue.gif

You could get a pop up flash diffuser smile.gif . Or set the flash power lower in menu, try search for it. For me I'd go for diffuser. Just gotten my Lambency, the amber(orange) dome is so bad and awkward when used. It doesn't warm up the picture instead adding orange color to it. I should get Demb Flash Diffuser when I got enough money...

Is 50mm 1.8 SAM ideal for portrait? Going to get it soon..

I think the 50mm is a nice potrait lens. Some prefer 85mm or above. Is the Lambency diffuser really that bad? I was about to get one myself but cant find the one tat fit my F42 yet. They say is best to shoot potrait oh.. Demb flash diffuser look like how?

But then I do wan to have environment ambience light & lower Iso/ darker aperture will make these go away... creating black background... If shooting on a studio setting that rely on 1-2 flashgun then the power of pop up flash will surely gone. So there is no direct way to control the pop up flash right? hv to use negative film /popup flash diffuser.. sweat.gif

May be I haven't discover the potential of it yet wink.gif The size of it is really big blink.gif. Haha, might get it soon.
Octopus Pop up flash diffuser<<try this one(good thing is it support alpha flash hot shoe). The normal method I used is using my hand to block the flash. Suddenly I'm so excited about flash photography.
I thought Lambency which fit 430EX should fit F42 as well? Some one clarify this...

note to people using prish resizer, it is good.. can resize in an instant to upload on fb or twitter.. BUT it lowers down the pics quality sooooooooo much, that it looks like a cheepo cam shot.. <- at least thats what i get lar.. not sharp any more laar.. uploading pics on flickr with that quality also paiseh.. lol.. i keep thinking my kitties suck.. but its actually, the details are abit gone..

So in conclusion to me lar, (you guys can have some input in as well wink.gif..) uploading pics on fb, u want a quick resize, can useee.. but if u wanna keep ur details, ur better off doing it manually..

edit: typos

lildaredevil : yes..i noticed that about the prish resizer..but its great for uploading to forums.....and the low quality is an added bonus coz then people who love to SAPU other pplz work of the net cant get proper photos.......because even if u watermark..most ppl watermark at the lower regions or extermities which can be cropped....so ..ahaks... smile.gif

also it depends on your original JPEG which u compress..
my original for the photo was 5.7 mb....which was a jpeg converted from RAW...so in my opinion...the noise level increased slightly but the rest is fine.. smile.gif

Thats wat i usually did. block it off with my hand... but is so inconvenient especially without assistant.. i hv one hand holding my camera another hand holding the F42 from the side.. then no hand to block the pop up flash..look like i need Flash stand... (got such thing tat can hold sony flash?)
