the window/mirror was very narrow...both side was black wall...and lots of ppl walking around..so if i had compose it in landscape mode..it'd be just plain black color at the side..or worse....some unknown strangers..hahaha....

i kinda amazed by the number of people taking photos so late on sunday night...as if the next day is a public holiday..lol..

my first successful shot after 300+ of random shots. feel abit under expose as it was just after rain. C&C please.

p/s: how to get the url from flickr? is it we have to pay to have the share link?
*
viewing on my iphone now..it doesnt really looked under exposed..but i'd probably recompose the shot..don really perfer to put my subject at the center when its not that well balanced..but again..its subject to the photographer preferrence/ creativity..

to get url from flick..click All Size on top

otherwise i think the first pic actually quite ok..maybe increase a lil bit more contrast..

achew, yes 70200 kekeke the poison is deep...eh u still have your crumpler 5MDH?? Can roughly advise what can u keep inside on a daily basis?

wuszhtag, the second one u PS too saturated?? the red seems abit too red on my computer, maybe lower the saturation abit more?? on the first image, if u want more colour can use vivid and saturation +1, seems like its on Standard to me....like in A350 last time..
*
yes..stil have it..changing to 7MDH or 6MDH..stil not decided yet =)

when i was in my a300 days...my 5MDH used to carry : 1 body(with lens) + 2 extra lenses OR 1 lens + F58....if my body is attached with sp90.....at the side i can fit my 1680 + F58 on top of 50mm F1.4..but this would be really packed..i usually only choose it if i really had to bring all my 3 lenses..

for me 6MDH is too big for the tiny a300 and my lenses....but now both my a850 n 2470 is huge..so no choice...i actually do prefer small n cute bags..too bulky very hard to bring around..lol

anyway..its been awhile since i last use sp90 for portrait =)

candid shot of my gf..

ahtsong: i agreed with u, even my 50mm, i shoot with F2.8 for easier to control DoF. and i end up buying tammy1750F2.8 where i can shoot wide (instead of keep changing lens) when i cover weddings

Added on November 10, 2009, 11:50 pmachew, it's nice, but the PP on the face made it a little soft. (or u didnt? but it looked soft)
*
err..didnt really applied any soft focus or wadever on the face..lol...maybe it got a lil bit softer after i applied noise remover to smoothen the background...anyway..replaced with another one..slightly sharpened the whole photo...

ieR: i'm thinking to have the 1750 2.8 also, but i would prefer if sony have it's own 1650 2.8...i really like the 16mm at the wide end

it creates circular bokeh...but when u shoot from certain angle..it'd change to cat-eyes bokeh sometimes...u can refer to the photos i uploaded few pages back...those cat-eyes r from 50mm F1.4....with the same aperture...diff composition/angle..i do get round bokeh in other shots...but unfortunately..too many passerby at the back..so decided to delete those..

@hazril
u r right tongue.gif
if i not wrong..it refers to some misfocusing on the wave length of light(diff color diff length?)..something to do with the dispersion??

Poadster:

Don't call it the SAL50mm, we don't know whether you're talking about the Sony 50mm F1.4 or Sony 50mm F1.8 DT SAM. There are two product names:

SAL-50F14
SAL-50F18

The 135mm F2.8/T4.5 STF can only be used in conditions where a F4.5 lens is bright enough.
*
yea..the usability of the STF lens is kinda holding me back..first it only takes in F4.5 amount of light at wide open...second its manual focus...more suitable for casual shooting rather than using it in any event..
