Cold cathodes.They're not even half as hot as your ordinary flouracent lamp.
No way your room can become hot spa.

@prominen
That's a nice setup really, no doubt. But shouldn't you take some descretion by hiding all those "ahem" stuff on your rack? |

If I'm playing competitively, then on the monitor.
TVs simply has too high of an input lag. Otherwise for anything else, on the TV. |

It depends on the perception.
Playing an engrossing and immersive single player game on a huge screen is more pleasurable on the big screen than on a monitor. I know I absolutely will not play Ni No Kuni on a 23" monitor, that's just stupid IMO. But games that require twitch reactions? Yeah... the smaller seems to be the better. |

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Jun 8 2022, 10:18 AM) Just sharing my gaming setup with my new sony 85inch tv newly purchased last week. Pull that center channel to be flushed with the edge of the console table to reduce diffraction.Remarks: Finally can enjoy 4k HDR with 120hz plus VRR feature which my previous full hd tv dont have this feature. |

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Jun 14 2022, 04:55 PM) 85" display, optimal seating distance is actually 2.6m to achieve 40 degree FOV for THX immersion level.So if you can push back your seat by another 0.6m, you'll have a better time in the long run. |
