I don't plan to use the side panel fan on my CM690 and want to remove it. When i remove all the four screws, the fan and the mesh grill will fall out and there will be a round hole at the side. Is there anyway I can close off the hole? The problem is there's nothing to hold the mesh grill once i remove the fan as the screw has nothing it can lock-on to.

EDIT:

BTW guys, I'm trying to look for a 3-Pin Fan Splitter for Casing Fan, 1 Female Point divided into 2 Male Point . Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I want to set up the PC with intake fans at the front and exhaust fans at the back and top. I read somewhere that the side fan may disrupt the airflow in such settings. Anyway thought I be better off moving the fan to the top of the case instead of leaving it unused at the side.

Where can I buy those "plastic pin"? Never see it before.

What kind of sizes do I need for the screw and nut method?

i dont think ur source of reading is correct..
side panel fans important for ur GC... it will make ur air flow below GC circulating.. im prefer u used that fan to blow hot air instead of default installation.
just now i put the fan without mesh grill to improve air flow for hot air to come out. with that, my GC temp down 1-3c

i tot that rely on where the fan is rite?if its near the gc of coz benefit 4 the gc...but what if the side fan is located near the cpu cooler?there are some cooler with different fan mounts...

btw TS...just get hold some of 'dawai' usually given when u buy anything with long wires...u know?the twist2 thing...i dunno what its call...u can use that to tie ur mesh to the case or better yet just put the screw and 'lilit' the screw with the 'dawai'

screw size?
not sure what size it is.
i think is some where m3 size if u can find m3 size
or just 1/4" size? where u can get it off hypermall.

just choose one that approximate the size or the hole or ur screw hole.
