Hi, I use normal PC to play BD movie with Powerdvd9. The TrueHD audio is HDMI output as PCM to Onkyo 876 receiver as shown by powerdvd info.

The receiver received PCM signal and able to produce sound. However, on the AVR there are many input source option, such as stereo, multichannel, dolby bla bla, dts bla bla, thx bla bla... but no TrueHD option to select. so which option should i choose to get the desired TrueHD effect?

At the moment i am using multichannel, and the sound positioning seems ok, but I am not sure if this is the best option.

Since u r sending an LPCM signal, multichannel is the correct one.

ohh yeah, thanks.

Will try this with the new transformer 2 BD~

Added on October 27, 2009, 2:27 amlol... found out that earlier the powerdvd9 setting was not correct, i forgot to set it as non-decoded output. Now it is ok, the AVR will show Dolby TrueHD at trans1 and DTS-Master HD at trans2.
