Guys,

Noob question here.
Whats the difference for Hyper 212 Plus and Hyper 212?
I cant really see any comparison review in web.
Suppose Hyper 212 Plus is newer product should be more expensive right?
I see its lot cheaper than Hyper 212. Is the cooling performance wise Hyper 212 better?
Appreciate feedbacks.
*
the hyper 212 plus is shorter a bit then the hyper 212 !!! but overall is all the same !!!

I hope that answere your question !!!

C2D E6420. OC'ed 20%. Not sure how other forumers OCed this CPU to be 3GHZ but I am still experimenting so don't want to push it. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
Actually I can't fit mine so now temporary open casing with additional fan blowing. Note that the ambient temp is air cond.

before i use 212+ with stock heatsink is idle at 33-35.
when gaming it went up to 55-60 which is not tat good.

after 212+
idle at 28-30
gaming at 40celsius max

when overclock from 2.7 to 3.1
40-43 celsius.

yeah, but tat was fanless megahalem, but if u attach fan onto the megahalems, it could easily beat 212+

WTA, how to fix this heat sink correctly ?

I did was :

1) Apply thermal paste
2) Place the X-Thingy on the heatsink. ( Donno need to screw anything ? )
3) Put the Bracket behind the MB.
4) Fix the Nut and bolt on the MB
5) Adjust the X-Thingy untill can fit into the nuts.
6) Screw the X-Thingy untill thing into the nuts.

Can't if your casing has transparent side panel edition one, for double check again try find the HS height and roughly measure on your pc.

Fix the backplate on the motherboard before screwing the heatsink on.
