Hi guys, did any of you all face problems when using maybank visa debit card in Hong Kong and Macau? eg: withdraw cash at atm, pay deposit for hotel and so on...

1 more thing, what do i required to do before goin to hong kong? activate at atm machine only?? thats all?? is it 1 time only activation or is it required everytime im goin overseas?
dont wanna face any problem when using it in HK as this is my only card available currently so its kinda important to make sure it is 100% usable...

thanks....

guys, i got 1 more question about the maybank debit card...
anyone tried using maybank debit card for hotel deposit?
for example, i book hotel through agent and already paid in full the fees, and according to the agent, the hotel may ask for deposit and most people use either credit card or cash.
im wondering whether i'm able to use debit cad instead of credit card so i dont have to prepare extra cash for deposit.... if yes, then what should i take note? should i sign anythin or what?

by the way, im asking for hotels in hong kong n macau....

No. When you check-in, they will hold the amount from your debit card ... say RM1000. It won't be charged but if you check your Public Bank online banking account, you'll see RM1000 deducted from you savings account and shown as hold amount. They will only bill you the exact amount after you have checked out.
Yes. You can.
