Hey guys,

Tune Debit Card can be connected to my Paypal account right? Where can I reload Tune Debit here in Malaysia?

Added on July 4, 2010, 8:39 pmAnd also, which debit card is the best? PB/Maybank/Tune/AmbankNexG?

Best in terms of convenience and popularity in Malaysia and low monthly fees

Yes. Card will be rejected.
Yes. You can reload through online banking.
1. Maybank
- Being the largest bank in Malaysia with the most ATM
- No annual fee if you choose the no annual fee option but you will be entitled to only 4 free cash withdrawals per month. However, fee will be waived if you have at least RM5,000 in you account when the excess withdrawal happens each time.
- Can be verified with Paypal

2. Public Bank
- Great cash back rewards
- RM12/month with unlimited cash withdrawals
- Can be verified with Paypal

Forget the rest and just choose either Maybank VISA debit or Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit.

By the way, Tune VISA debit is the lousiest debit card on the market. DO NOT GET IT !

Thanks for the heads up! notworthy.gif

Anyway, what's the difference between PB Day2Day..Electron...etc? So many variety of debit card rclxub.gif

Wow, what's so bad about Tune? I actually paid RM10 for it along with the opening of a CIMB AirAsia Savers acoount. cry.gif

RM12/month?? That's alot of money!! For Tune its only RM10 per YEAR! Is there another option if I don't withdraw cash? I have a savings account for a reason.

Thanks again smile.gif

1. The online merchant you tried to buy something from only ship their products to certain countries. If this is the case, your card will be automatically rejected when they try to process your card.

2. You haven't activated the card for overseas use. You can activate this feature permanently or temporarily via any Maybank ATM.

What about those online stores that state Visa/Mastercard credit card(paybox) without mentioning debit? Will debit card usually be accepted?

Also, why do they usually ask 'Expiry date' after Credit Card number?

What's paybox anyway?

Added on July 8, 2010, 11:47 pmoh one more ques, maybank visa debit card is most widely accepted for foreign transactions on purchase that ship to malaysia right? Some websites don't accept Paypal.

Thanks to MilesandMore I cancelled my TuneCard application(they need to send a letter to me for verification through mail and send them back blink.gif ) and applied for a Maybankard Visa Debit. thumbup.gif

Anyway, just now I tried to connect my new debit card( after MSOS registration) to Paypal, they charged me RM10 and asked me to wait 2-3 days for the code on bill statement to arrive. However, I logged in to Maybank2u to view my bank statement, they say its invalid because Im a passbookless user without RM1000 in the bank.

Does that mean I won't get my bank statement and can't verify Paypal?

Thanks!

It is not exactly true free for life and only the first 4 cash withdrawals in a month are free. Subsequent over the limit withdrawal will be charged RM0.50 each time it occurs. This however will be automatically waived if you have at least RM5,000 inside your account each time the excess withdrawal occurs.[/i] or RM12 (for Day2Day VISA debit card).

Withdrawal from savings account through atm is counted? Does the machine show how many times left each we withdraw?
