Obviously the reputation of Public Bank is a lot better. Besides, the cash rebate system of Public Bank Day2Day VISA Debit Card and Public Bank VISA Electron are miles better than Maybank Cherry VISA Debit Card. Let's compare :

Public Bank Day2Day VISA
- 0.8% cash back on groceries and petrol
- 0.3% cash back on all other transactions
- An annual fee of RM12

Public Bank VISA Electron
- 0.5% cash back on all transactions except petrol as petrol is not entitled for any rebate of any sort
- An annual fee of RM24 but will be automatically waived when you charge at least RM1,000 into the card in a calender year

Maybank Cherry VISA debit/Maybank Cherry debit Mastercard Platinum
- RM3 = 1 Treatpoints which is like what ? 0.1% cash back ?
- No cash rebate for petrol transaction
- An annual fee of RM8 with unlimited ATM withdrawals or no annual fee but comes with only 4 free ATM withdrawals per month

For Retail purchase, they will deduct exactly on the amount that you sign for. Only at petrol pump you will be deducted RM200 than return the remaining later on. No other extra charge.

Hi. I only need a debit card that will allow me to pay using PayPal.

Is CIMB e.MasterCard appropriate? Does anyone know how long it takes to get the card? Or is there any card that I can get immediately (other than Al Rajhi Bank's - no branches nearby)?

Will only use occasionally. I feel that buying PayPal balance from friends or forumers is troublesome...

Thanks.

You might want to consider Public Bank Day2Day VISA and Maybank Cherry VISA.

May I know from your experience, about how long does it take to apply for those cards? Actually I would prefer an instant/near-instant solution.

I thought they will charge you like 1% or 2% or 3% for service charge of using cards to pay for products? Because I saw this at ALL IT @ Ikano Power Centre. Please Correct me if I'm wrong biggrin.gif
