I just get my Asus O!play and connect to my router + my Sunology DS-209 and I found out that both unit cannot talk to each other..

than I go to Asus download centre and download the latrst firmware v.0111P ( P for PAL system) and than... yahoooo it work find.

I select movie than I saw:

1) network device
2) uPNP device ( here I get to connect to my synology NAS , of couse if your PC /NAS have turn on the uPNP function than it should work)

I'm very happy to use this device, and so far, when we switch from movie/music/photo, the respond is fast.

hahah..... anyone like to share your experience?

so you think USD229 retail price is acceptable for a realtek 1073 solution? when others are selling similar items at USD99 retail ? biggrin.gif

even SG selling retail POHD at RM5++ only..

haha... I agree with ur US99 ( not yet included transport cost) will not equal to RM699.

if u can get U$99 than I will suggest u to get it which is good for you.

The RM699 price is what I get in malaysia with local warranty.

( just to share : this product is included 25% TAX + free 1 HDMI cable)

so, the final is up to you. u like to get from internet/ singapore , is up to you as long as you feel this is the best for you.

I'm to share some exp after I use this new toys..

That's not how I reason this coz I not buying any of this player. If I buying than I will compare according to ur question whether it worth or not.

I just compare the price sell in the other country compared to us in malaysia.. Same type of item should have comparable price.

If POHD selling 5++ in SG, how much does the OPlay? also 5++ or 300?
