Not everyone could write a book or a novel.
It can be of many reasons, such as not enough time to invest, having other priorities, etc, and most probably, just not good enough to be a writer @ lack of talent.
However, everyone can have an idea of what their own stories would be like; how it'll start, how's the middle part, and how epic is the ending.

If you could write a book or a novel, do share with us what will it be like biggrin.gif
Who knows, by sharing the idea and getting some feedback, you might be interested enough to actually start writing it, and maybe one day finish it & publish it wink.gif

I tend to write short stories for my own enjoyment and also as a mean of venting my emotions at times. It is always fun to read back what you've written and it works like a diary as well.

I suggest you read this book called "what I talk about when I talk about running" by Haruki Murakumi. I read a few pages (the english translated one) and it's really enjoyable. In some way you could say he compiled all his diary entries into a book.

I got a couple of stories here: www.flagrantstory.blogspot.com

Don't really like the latest story as that was an experiment, but I like my first entry there.

As for a full fledged novel, I've been playing around with this idea of a fantasy novel, full details to be divulged when I feel like late.r

Hmm.. your topic intrigued me. I would like to write a fantasy novel, inspired by playing all my Sega games long ago. They really have a good game plan but the story was never explained in detail. There was one "Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom" and I really loved the romance behind it and the inspiration to achieve their goal for each generation.

A pity was that everytime I tried to embark on writing a novel, I never get past the first chapter of introducing the plot and characters.. and after a while, work will overwhelm me ahha.

Did try writing an adverture storybook in my primary school (inspired from Enid Blython's Famous Five, etc). I wrote it in the exercise book we had it school. It's sad that I never got to finish it... about a chapter away from the ending. It would be different finishing the book from an adult's perspective now.

Nowadays, I guess work comes first unless can get the ideal writer's dream - to write without worrying about $$! lol

A (sci-fi) book with a ridiculous storyline full of plot twists and abnormal, unreasonable ideas with its own unique language and no translations provided so that the reader will curse and swear halfway through the book.

1- Post apocalyptic world
2- Scifi, ruined world
3- Corny love stories

But my greatest interest is to write about old malay warrior. Too bad I'm clueless about Silat and the way old malay speech.

And lack of talent to write of course.. My words are not poetic or eye catching enough.. except when I'm insulting people..

i would write a book based on my personal experience with the hardship a student faces after spm and before college. The dilemma of choosing a course, financial burden. family problems etx and how does the person overcome to be a successful person who is living his dream smile.gif

p/s... i'm already half way through it biggrin.gif
