Phra Rahu, Acharn Khun Phan, Wat Khao Or, B.E. 2540

Rahu is a powerful giant in Ramayana Legend who has been immortalized by drinking the sacred elixir “Nam Amarit” through his wit in deceiving the gods. The sun god reported Rahu’s deceit to Vishnu, who then chopped off Rahu’s head in retaliation. As the elixir has reached Rahu’s throat, his head survived and was thus immortalized. Rahu’s bear’s hatred for the sun god’s action and he would occasionally swallow the sun god in revenge but alas as he has no body, the sun god would reappear out of his throat and continue to shine upon the earth. According to ancient astrological science, Rahu can influence the destiny of each individual.

To ward off bad luck associated with Rahu swallowing the sun, devotees would make offerings of black objects to Rahu. Rahu likes darkness and drunkard ness but he despises malicious people. It is also a common practice for devotees to seek blessing from Rahu to repel bad luck. As such, Rahu amulets are particularly useful in repelling malicious people and to ward off bad luck (or to uphold one’s luck so to say). It offers protection, luck and finally smoothness in our endeavour. Presenting a Phra Rahu created by the great master from Nakhon Si Tammarat, AC Khun Phan himself when he was still alive. His fame peaked towards the end of his life and as such amulets blessed by him are scarce, especially those created before he achieved great fame. He was cremated with Royal flame in B.E. 2549, a privilege honour received not by many.

Jatukam Ramathep by LP Ngerm, Wat Phra Mahathat B.E. 2550, Nakhon Si Tammarat

Wat Phra Mahathat is one of the most important temples in Southern Thailand. It is a First Class Royal Temple. It has a history of over 1000 years. The chedi at the Wat contains the sacred relic of the Lord Buddha. The chedi is an architectural wonder as it casts no shadow when the sun shines upon it. Much of the popularity of this temple in recent years can be accredited to the Jatukam Ramathep amulets. Nakhon Si Tammarat is the seat of the ancient kingdom of Ligor. It is an ancient centre of Buddhism in this region. The name of the city is a Thai corruption of “Nagara Sri Dhammaraja”, City of the Dhamma King!

Jatukam Ramathep were princes of the ancient Ligor kingdom. In recognition of their contribution to the kingdom and in upholding Buddhism, they have been deified. Jatukam Ramathep vowed that “As long as the water in the ocean has not dried up, if you have Us, you will never be poor”. As such, Jatukam amulets brings wealth and fortune to its devotees besides providing them with protection against harm and evil, ensuring smooth dealing, enhancing authority, preventing malicious people, abundance, success and victory.

It is a common perception among veterans that Jatukam amulets that have not pass through consecration at Wat Phra Mahathat to be incomplete as this temple is considered the home temple of Jatukam Ramathep. They have stood guard the sacred relics of Buddha at Wat Mahathat for centuries. LP Ngerm of Nakhon Si Tammarat is one of the most respected monk in this area. Very few have known that he created his first batch of amulet as this batch of Jatukam amulet though the demand for his amulets has skyrocketed.

Black panther oil

Khun Paen Khun Chang, Maha Chat, Wat Molelimit, Pattani.

Khun Paen was a general that lived in the Ayutthya period. His fame came from his many miraculous victories in battles and also his popularity with the masses, especially ladies. As such, many devotees have sought the help of KP amulets specifically to promote success in their dealings and also for metta and opposite sex attraction. KP amulets are also useful for protection from harm, promoting luck and fortune, dispelling evil, etc.

Not many may be aware that Khun Chang lived at the same time as Khun Paen. Khun Chang’s massive wealth and cunning wits posed a constant challenge to the great general Khun Paen. The story of Khun Paen and Khun Chang is a popular tale of romance and rivalry in Thai legends. Khun Chang lost the love of his life to Khun Paen but the former massive wealth and influence coupled with his tact, cunningness and wits proved Khun Chang as a formidable opponent.

The idea to create Khun Paen Khun Chang amulet is first of its kind and came upon Maha Chat in his deep contemplation reasoning that peace have been reached between the two after hundreds of years. The combined power of Khun Paen and Khun Chang would complete most of our aspiration, especially wealth and loving kindness. Maha Chat travelled across Thailand to gather sacred ingredients for his amulets and as such as much as 99 different sacred materials have been included in his amulet including the rare black panther oil. The good master is very compassionate with high degree of metta. He makes every amulet by himself and as such great effort is put in into the production of each amulet with very little quantity made. These amulets come in three colours, white, brown and black and these are special edition with two rubies and a takrut attached onto them. The normal edition that comes without the rubies and takrut is also available.
