Phra Prom, LP Phrasi, Wat Butlompon, B.E. 2552

Phra Prom is the Thai version of the Great Brahma in Hinduism. The significance of the 4 faced Phra Prom is that He will offer help and grant wishes to those who prayed to Him from all directions. Phra Prom holds various objects in His hands; the Book signifies wisdom leading to the right path to success, the Chanting Beads signifies cultivation of good karma in the cycle of birth and death, the Jug signifies ample water (wealth) where one would not be short of opportunity to earn a living, the Baton is used to discard all obstacles created by evil ones, the Shell signifies bringing of luck and association with precious ones and the Hand on the Chest signifies protection and safety. As such, Phra Phrom provides protection from danger, happiness, wealth, prosperity in business, promoting luck, dispelling evil and black magic. This Phra Phrom amulet also comes with a takrut that can be worn together for additional power.

Somdej pon Jinnamanee, LP Sackorn, Wat Nong Krub, B.E. 2538

Somdej means "Supreme". Many businessmen would prefer to wear Somdej amulets as it is believe to enhance confidence in their negotiation and dealing. In fact, Somdej is an all rounder amulet that is good for promoting protection, wealth, fortune, smooth endeavour, success, confidence, dispelling evil, metta, etc. LP Sackorn is famous for his Khun Paen and Gumanthong but Somdej amulets created by this master are rare indeed. The special thing about this amulet is that it has a golden fish with two takrut at the back to usher in wealth.

Buddha Propor, LP Toh, Wat Praduchimplee, B.E. 2519

This batch of amulet was made by LP Toh on his return from pilgrimage in India. It is made with holy powder and soil he collected during his pilgrimage and only a limited number were made. The back of this amulet features the Mahabohi temple in Bodhgaya, India where the Bodhi tree under which the Lord Budda attained enlightenment was located. A very good amulet for wealth, fortune, protection, loving kindness, smooth endeavour and success.

Pitda Pampakam by Acharn Ko Pong, Wat Phra Mahathat B.E. 2550, Nakhon Si Tammarat

AC Ko Pong was one of the pioneer in the first batch of Jatukam amulets in B.E. 2530. Famed for being the medium of Jatukam Ramathep, amulets by AC Ko Pong are very much desired by collectors of Jatukam amulets. Pitda Pampakam is different from the usual Pitda amulet as it is closely associated with Jatukam. In fact he is the adopted son of the great king who is victorious in battles and enemies cannot see him coming thus ensuring many of his victories. He was a great general and amulets in his image was created to represent invisibility, protection against harm and danger, success, fortune, smooth endeavour, etc.

Pitta is the image of a disciple of Buddha covering his face with his hands to seek peace and blissfulness (see no evil). Generally, Pitta amulets are associated with protection from harm and evil. Pitta Mahalap amulets are also often associated with bringing fortune while Pitta Maha Ud amulets places additional emphasis on the aspect of safety, protection from harm and evil. Presenting a masterpiece by the late LP Dam made of silver and stuffed with herbal remedies at the bottom.

LP Sorthorn, Wat Sorthorn, B.E. 2538

LP Sorthon is one of the most revered images of Buddha in Thailand. Legend has it that LP Sorthorn was one of the three Buddha images that floated down the river from Prachin Buri. Being the medium sized one of the three, LP Sorthorn finally found its resting place at Wat Sorthorn Wararam, Chachoengsao. The other two are enshrined at Wat Ban Leam, Samut Songkram and Wat Bang Phli, Samut Prakan respectively. Devotees from all over the country held high respect for LP Sorthorn owing to the many miraculous events associated with it and many would come to Wat Sorthorn to pray for financial wealth, health or for a child. Images of LP Sorthorn are also believed to give its bearer foresight of events.

Rahu is a powerful giant in Ramayana Legend who has been immortalized by drinking the sacred elixir “Nam Amarit” through his wit in deceiving the gods. The sun god reported Rahu’s deceit to Vishnu, who then chopped off Rahu’s head in retaliation. As the elixir has reached Rahu’s throat, his head survived and was thus immortalized. Rahu’s bear’s hatred for the sun god’s action and he would occasionally swallow the sun god in revenge but alas as he has no body, the sun god would reappear out of his throat and continue to shine upon the earth. According to ancient astrological science, Rahu can influence the destiny of each individual.

To ward off bad luck associated with Rahu swallowing the sun, devotees would make offerings of black objects to Rahu. Rahu likes darkness and drunkard ness but he despises malicious people. It is also a common practice for devotees to seek blessing from Rahu to repel bad luck. As such, Rahu amulets are particularly useful in repelling malicious people and to ward off bad luck (or to uphold one’s luck so to say). It offers protection, luck and finally smoothness in our endeavour.
