QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Oct 22 2009, 05:11 PM) daryl.k - a long time ago I used to have the Kameleon... it's slick and beautiful but has severely limited program memory (about 25 keystrokes). Then I bought a Sony RM-VL600 (now upgraded to RM-VL610 around US$20 street) - it is super programmable and has memory to reprogram every key for every device, plus macros. Hey...thats great info...never knew Sony has a universal Remote control line up...

QUOTE(richard912 @ Oct 25 2009, 06:59 PM) Was at Best Denki earlier today and noticed a few different models of universal remote control under Philips. Pricing from RM69-under RM200 I've a 6 in 1 Philips remote..but ai can tell you the programmable learning stuff is limited too...I can't tell exactly how many key strokes but in you are programming all 6 devices I dun think its enough... Now I know Sony has a better line up I would rather go SiriuslyCold's way.. Trouble is...have to get it from Ebay...not sure if local have.

Hi..thanks for the feedback.. I googled all the local sites and cannot find the VL610. However...at lelong shop is selling RM-PP411 http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2005-01D...ol-RM-PP411.htm. But i checked the specs it doesn't have learning capabilities...only the PG411 has learning mode. I've just send my remote to the Philips service center again...see how it goes

QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Nov 9 2009, 12:28 AM) this is the 610N on Amazon US$21 new. I guess the ebay price is good (I take it RM122 includes shipping) Also, you might want to think about one of the Philips remotes available locally around the same pricing, although I'm not sure about the programmability. I've not had any problems with any of my Sony remotes, but if it breaks... you may want to be able to yell at someone and a local Philips remote will be locally supported. Thanks, I think I'll go for ebay...I'll contact the guy regarding the shipping charges whether can reduce further....I dun mind to wait. Philips one got oledi..6in1...err...fragile stuff...but i got to agree...if it breaks, its one to one exchange by them...which is very good support. Thanks for your replies Much appreciate This post has been edited by azbro: Nov 9 2009, 06:03 AM
