4pin ATX cannot route under mobo?
*
He already mentioned it's too short.
When buying a new PSU I will make sure that this cable is long enuf to connect to my mobo.
And I find Corsair PSUs cable length is adequate

most important thing is the heatshrink.
need to cut it the same length and straight then align correctly.

good work on the sleeving job owi. looks freaking neat. very hard to achieve with mdpc sleeves.

custom length 2mm tight weave sleeving for my pci-e connector. more to come smile.gif
*
Well done supernothing rclxms.gif
I thought niclas said it's 3mm ID? your sleeve is even thinner.
hard to get a good result with MDPC coz its sleeve and heatshrink are fatter than the weave type. Not easy to stuff those thick ends into the connector.

Btw bro curious ur weave heatshrink can be used on MDPC sleeve or not?

anyone provide sleeving service for psu? i don't mind to pay them for the help.

i'm using an old FSP 700W modular psu with fixed cables. meaning to say, they're not detachable as today's psu. so, it's kinda cluttered with all the cables.
*
I've seen Niclasteoh to be da best sleeving service privider.
Pls check out his threads for da results. It looks perfect to me.

you get what you pay for. the cost of sleeving the wires yourself might be more expensive than just buying it from niclas. i bought some custom length sleeved cables from niclas before, best workmanship in this forum i must say.
*
I strongly agree with u coz i also got one extension cable sleeved by niclas as well and i reallly love it. I challenged myself to beat or at least match his workmanship but couldnt make it lol. Think i need more practices. Jz grabbed several cable stuffs from niclas today want ti make fan Y splitters for GTs.

are you talking about the workmanship or cost+workmanship?
some1 here quoted me rm480-550 for the whole psu with single cable sleeving.
i can even buy a new psu with that price! but is it standard for that range of price?
*
Labour cost only. Sleeving kit is self prepared keke.
I cant really comment on their quoted price coz it depends on their cost price for sleeves+heatshrink+labor etc.
For cable sleeve length u can always go to jonnyguru to check. eg. for Corsair AX1200

ATX connector (0.6m) 24 pins x 1 = 0.6 x 24 ~ 14.4m
EPS12V/ATX12V connector 8pins (0.61m) x 1 = 0.61 x 8 = 4.88m
PCIE 6+2pins (0.6m) x 1 = 0.6 x 8 = 4.8m
Molex 4pins and SATA cables can be left unsleeved.

For instance my SLIed GTX580 needs a total length (without Molex & SATA) ~ 38.48m sleeve; heatshrink 10%
For safe side, grab 4 sets of 10m MDPC-X sleeve+ 1m heatshrink = RM45x4 = RM180.

so depending on how many GCs and ATX8 needed u could roughly calculate the total length of sleeves for ur rig.

QUOTE(supernothing @ Jun 9 2011, 06:39 PM)
that's pretty cheap considering someone paid rm1000 for sleeving a corsair psu.
*

His pocket is super deep I wont be surprised if he's willing to offer more than that.
But I'd find niclas anytime, due to strong friendship between us. Moreover he got all the materials needed for a complete sleeving solution. tongue.gif

Good news for Corsair PSU owners, now you can buy individually sleeved cable kit separately.

RM3xx for AX1200 i'd say quite worthy, considering the cost needed for sleeve+heatshrink + time for the whole sleeving process.

Thumb up to Corsair for listening to buyers.

Saw an ad on top banner of LYN

http://www.moddiy.com/news/5/High-Quality-...lar-Cables.html

So in no time I've dropped them an email inquiring quotation for a custom length-sleeved for AX1200
