Please help.

My notebook IBM R50 was stolen months ago by colleague. I have already reported here.

The THIEF is still surfing lyn under my nick (i guess). There are times that i saw my (1) 'Last Visit' time and (2) Your favourite forums' DO NOT belong to me, simply because i have NEVER visited some sites have i logged in at the time.

For example, just now i saw the 'Last Log In Time' was 11.43pm, and the 'Your Favourite Forums' included 'Jobs & Careers' !!! i was not at home and so could not have logged in, and i had NEVER visited the Jobs & Careers Forum because i am holding a very good job and not having intention to look for one.

I tried to change my password but the same things happen many times.

I was advised to change my password and E-MAIL. Is there any other methods to cut it off from the thief? Or any wqay at all to send mails to the thief? Please advise (no laughing please ... i am desperate).

Thank You.

p/s: any admin out here to advise please ....

Just PM any staff here and ask them to check the IP address for your account that logged on that specific time. Anyway, i think your thief is looking for a job.

this thief is my colleague, an IT guy ..... it was stolen when i was hospitalised for 12 days. upon discharged from the hospital and getting back to work the first day, only my empty notebook bag was left under my work desk, with the original software ransacked, and useful ones were stolen, and the spoiled CDs being literally thrown back to my notebook bag.... and the bag was nicely and neatly zipped as though it was not opened at all.

i consider my IBM notebook a collector item and i truly treasure it so much. also, all my work files were gone with the notebook.

this is amongst the darkest moment beside my hospitalisation trauma.

YET, THE THIEF IS STILL SURFING LYN UNDER MY NICK !!!

i feel like my wound is salted.

thanks to all for the replies. truly appreciate them. vmad.gif

I read somewhere in the forum that if you reset your password, it'll automatically cancel out all prior login sessions, so that should work. good luck!
